A little tip for everyone, skill distribution during level u

Post » Thu Jul 19, 2012 4:10 am

So let's say you plan to get jury rigging as soon as you can (level 14), you need 90 repair. Which is high for a skill at that level.

What you can do, is have 90 minus the skill points you have available each level up, for me it's 15, so I have my repair skill at 75 at level 13.

Then when I hit 14, I put all 15 into repair, progress to the perk menu, select jury rigging. Then go back and change the skill point distribution to whatever you want, go forward to the perk screen and the perk will still be chosen even if you don't meet the requirement. Press okay and you still get the perk and the desired skill distribution for that level.

This helps you over leveling one skill early on, wasting skill books when the skill level is 100.

Just thought I'd share.

never tried that...

What I do is just get my average "Skill points" and look at what I have starting out with the Charecter and divide it... usually I only have to put like 5 points into Repair every level till I am level 14 and by that time it's "Unlocked" If I have 15+ Skill points I just have a system to level up in certain areas and let my magazines and outfits take most of the "Skill points" needed.

Yeah that's similar to what I do.

The method above just let's you keep a lower skill level for your level, so you can have jury rigging and have 75 repair. You don't need 90 repair at level 14, you can use books+equipment to get you to 100 if you do.

If you have 90 before you've done the DLC's, you will end up wasting skill books.

Yes, try it.

I wouldn't post it if I haven't been using it for ages.
