I got Daggerfall quite some time ago. only just a few days ago did i manage to get out of privateers hold. The tutorial told me to go to Daggerfall city. so i did it was night time so i climbed over the walls now i'm stuck in there with a bunch of ghost who kill me over and over unless i run into a building (and there doesn't seem to be anything of help in any buildings i have gone into). any idea what i can do to get rid of these terrible spirits that are killing me?

run into the nearest tavern, they're the green buildings on the map.

Then rest until the sun comes up.

i have ran into several and rented out a bed but it won't let me use any of the beds and using the rest button says i can't because there are enemy's near by.

i even tried climbing back over the wall so i could try camping out in the woods until sun rise but i can't seem to get down the other side without dieing.

the guards are probably after you, too then

i guess ill try and find a guard to get them off me

Well, the one way for sure that the guards are in fact after ya if ya hear the following:

HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT! HALT!

If not, probably something else.

well i heard that earlier when i was on top of the wall because i decided to swing my sword randomly at a door out of frustration because i couldn't get down. i eventually jumped down and got in a conversation with an invisible guard i chose to go with the guards than hit the ground without taking any damage. which was mighty convenient. until i found out there where murderous ghosts on the loose. no more yelling guards as far as i can tell though.

Well, the murderous ghosts would only appear at nighttime of Daggerfall City (the intro mention this quite well). There also a very tiny chance something else might come out at night in any city (which is very, very, rare), but other than that, try to stay in door at night if ya visiting Daggerfall City.

i figured it was only at night in that one city because of the intro.

Thanks for all the help i ran out side and was running around when i saw that a ghost and a wraith had died so i went back to the in and it let me rest in the bed. Survived the murderous ghost attack = )

See, this is why I don't even bother going to Daggerfall City unless required by a quest. F that town.
