Post » Thu Feb 18, 2010 9:45 am

Hey guys i tweeted Pete Hines the marketing producer at Bethesda on twitter hes basically one of the top guys at Bethesda. And was kind enough to respond to my tweet asking when Official Honest hearts information will be released
Here is what he said -We will have news on the upcoming DLC for FNV pretty soon.

Link-http://twitter.com/#!/DCDeacon, If it doesn't redirect to Pete Hines page then type his name in.

I also Tweeted Chris Avellone. I asked him of a possibility of a New Reno And nursery DLC if you don't know what the nursery and New Reno are then here
-http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/New_Reno

This is what Mr.Avellone said in his retweet. Thanks. Nursery/New Reno DLC = Couldn't say, although there's plenty of Fallout 2 in FNV already. ;)

Link-http://twitter.com/#!/ChrisAvellone

Thats it just a small bit of info to keep you going im guessing that Honest Hearts will officially be announced on April 1st this Friday.

So, no New Reno in NV?

It sure sounds that way.

Oh, and there's that "more news soon" line again...

"Soon" was months ago. I can't imagine "pretty soon" being much different.

I believe Steam time is Copy written along with all word to time equivalents. On a serious note i don't understand why beth or obsidian would wait this long to release info on a DLC the only reason that makes sense is if they hit a major snag and by getting rid of a bug they caused a whole bunch of other bugs or if Beth and Obsidian are having some sort of falling out like Activision and IW.

The Publisher/Developer relationship is different between the two. For one, Activision is a [censored]. I have a feeling that it is because PC and PS3 came out in February and they did not want to release it only a month after (for some reason). Instead they did two months.

It really doesn't matter anyway. It's gonna be released when it's gonna be released. And considering it's a publishing date on a trademark website, April 19th seems to be the best bet.

there isn't a falling out cause of "bugs" they weren't that bad, but what was bad, was the extremely static map environment, no random encounters at all, no factions or enemies traveling around the map, exploration wasn't good, the amount of people complaining to bethesda about this is huge...interest in the game has dropped of really bad, and it just came out late last year, dead money was lousy, it didn't do much to help the game, and so there's prob delays alright, i wouldn't be expecting 4 more dlcs unless some serious map environment issues get adressed, obsidian pretty much ignored a huge part of the fanbase from FO3 by leaving the game world largely uninteresting other than a few spots here and there, the map world is just too empty, so yeah the game is good, but it has almost no replay value and thats the problem, the lack of encounters and overall lack of things to do and enemies to fight and places to fight and hide make the game not fun to replay a lot, it quickly loses it appeal.

Hmm. Not really sure how this is an update. Other then liberal use of the word "soon" nothing new was revealed about Honest Hearts.

R... Really? How many times do you have to say this same thing over and over? I just don't get it.

And that post wasn't saying they'd have a falling out because of bugs, it said "or" they had a falling out.

I hope we get something soon.

I believe Bethesda did their April Fools joke by saying that RAGE will be joining the Fallout universe/lore.

lets stay on topic....we need to face the possibility of bigger problems with NV...what many of us have been saying for months now, especially the numerous threads and polls which show almost 60% bored with the game, most of who have completely stopped playing NV, and without a lot of continuing interest in the game, from people who initially bought NV, and newbies playing the game now are gonna quickly get bored with it just like most everyone else has, this is the reason why there is a holdup with the dlc i think. it costs a lot of money to make 4 or 5 dlcs, so its not gonna happen with everyones copy of NV collecting dust on their shelves or traded in for other games. you just need to face this possibility, i don't think the holdup is "game bugs" ..time for a reality check, the polls don't lie. :tes:

Polls are not representative of the entire fanbase. Polls on these forums are not representative of the forum population (many don't bother voting, no way of knowing who exactly votes on each poll, etc.). You act as if Bethesda/Obsidian have decided "everyone is bored with New Vegas, look at these random forum polls!". If they were to actually base a cancellation decision on people no longer playing the game, they would do reliable research, compiling information from a lot of sources, not just here. Even then, it's unlikely they would base it off of that because it's hard to get something conclusive out of those studies. Their decision to cancel DLC would likely be based on how the game sold originally, and how Dead Money sold, first on Xbox and then PC/PS3. They certainly didn't sell badly. Sure, I am aware that it is *possible* that they could cancel DLCs if Honest Hearts sell like crap, but I find it unlikely. I think you are the one who needs a reality check.

:hubbahubba: polls are plenty accurate, just because a few people like to argue with statistics doesn't change the cold hard truth, and that is, new vegas was a good game but it has next to no replay value, and there are repercussions to making the game with a lack of random encounters, no enemies or factions moving around the map, not many places to explore etc, so you can say stuff like.."random encounters aren't important" or "its a desert its suppose to be empty" or "its not important to have the factions or any people cruising around the map world"...those type of commments aren't gonna change anything, the game didn't keep most of us interested for long, and thats throwing a monkey wrench into the future of new vegas, the game is like the titanic, it has fatal flaws that can't be ignored, so you keep your head in the sand about this buts not helping, more and more people will continue to put the game on the shelf or trade it in for the reasons most of us have mentioned.

And I see you're derailing yet another thread with your 'New Vegas is boring' garbage that you repeat like a parrot. We already know your opinion (And thats exactly what it is, it IS NOT a fact) AND WE DON'T CARE.

Polls are NOT accurate. As pointed out, only people who bother to vote will vote.

If you love Fallout 3 so much better than New Vegas then go to those forums and stay there instead of trying to stir it up here.

For the record I like both games, I just think New Vegas is closer to being a true Fallout game.

ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......
OH GOD EVERYBODY, westoftherockies doesn't like Fallout:New Vegas and is still crying about it, and can't get over it. So we all have to listen/read his opinions (not facts) about his dilemma over and over again....I'm really tired of it though! westoftherockies probably goes onto Bioware's forum hating on people who love Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 2, because Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 1 are older and better...every bloody video game forums are full of this nonsense. It's like the "whats better, ALIEN or ALIENS?" argument..."Starwars episodes I - III are gay compared to episodes IV - VI" .....
ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

ITS BORING NOW westoftherockies......get over it!!!!

BTW, I cant wait for this DLC to come out, because Fallout:New Vegas is awesome!!!! hurry hurry hurry up obsidian!!!!!!

IMO, Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 1, Star Wars Ep IV - VI and ALIEN are better than Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 2, Star Wars ep I - III and ALIENS respectively. :spotted owl:
