Living Reality

Post » Fri Jun 17, 2011 10:55 pm

I was reading another topics about general discussion, and start thinking: well, the skyrim has a great atmosphere of medieval time. The cities, living, villages... And the new gameplay is really awesome, new realistic combat animations, and movements... and also, new realistic interaction between player and npcs... And all this realistic fever we see in the game why the character dsn't need to eat? dsn't need to drink or sleep? I mean... It would be really awesome to play as we live, need to drink and eat from time to time, and sleep too. I think it would be great for the realistic atmosphere that the game is looking for, to be even more epic in the history of the games. What did you think guys?

It's called "Teh hardcoe Mode." A lot of people want it. Includes eating regularly as well as sleeping, etc.

Yes, but only if it is toggle-able like in Fallout New Vegas

That would be 'hardcoe mode' from New Vegas essentially. I'd say go for it as an OPTION but I would not like that to be a mandatory factor in TES.

Yes, given the great variety of food, drinks and all the sleeping locations that Bethesda puts into the game and that this is such a popular mod it is strange that they don't implement it themselves. But there is already a discussion and poll for this in the top ten thread that has been there all day, might want to read that one first.

Yeah, seeing what you say, make this a optional is the best way... (srry, didn't see that there was already a poll about this =/ )

Your crawling through a dungeon, and you run up on some baddies. Suddenly you get hungry, so instead of doing what you came to do you sit down for a cup of tea and crackers... Because you of course don't want to bother with the stat penalties.

The fact is it just ends up being a random debuff and tedious.

Also, I don't care how sleepy I am, my ass is wide awake when I start getting shot at...

Things like that, bother me in video games. Serious thought and work is required before I can insider this legitimate.

Such as - no eating raw food (can't just kill a rat and gobble it up)

Effects don't occurs mid battle, though can be cumulative once the adrenaline wears down.

Realistic cycles and requirements. And also realistic ways to handle your needs out in the field.

This was the killer for me in new Vegas. Actually having to eat it. The salmon I just cooked isn't a pill. I don't just pop it down. Having to find the TIME is just as important. So that way, no, I'm not gana just pop my yummy pills and restore my hunger gauge mid fight, or ill even ignore it if I'm about to do something for awhile.

Edit

Oh yeah. Maybe eating that bear meat I used poison to kill... Wasn't... Such... *thud*
