And...Enable that hammer to fly from the user's hand with deadly accuracy when thrown...And come back to the owner like a boomerang...But...Only after it does smite the enemies of the user in a hail of thunder and lighting...And...Let it be so magical and gifted by the Gods that when not in use as to actually shrink and fit into a tunic or deep pocket...Interesting thought...But just a wee bit of a total game changer...

Are we asking for the traditional version or the Marvel version of Mjolnir?

Well the only difference that mjolnir has against a normal black smith's hammer is that it has the Trigon symbol and the fact it has that power of thunder.

Just some minor differences from a normal black smith's hammer...

So it's got to be exactly as in the myths. Which version? Would you mind if it was an axe, or had a swastika on it?

The far most used version is the short hammer, which is also the one most people seemed to believe mostly at that time (a lot of people wore necklaces with the hammer).

I would like to see a hammer that looks like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b7/Mjollnir.png, more than the movie version. This one has a distinctive shape and is the more traditional version.

Best of both worlds.

Not a direct item named Mjolnir. Maybe as an easter egg item.

The last thing we need is for the real world to leak into Tamriel.

Do the people who say "It wouldn't fit" have any, I repeat any idea how many Easter Eggs TES has?
Several caves in Morrowind were named after pokémon for crying out loud.

Fixed.

Also, I assume there'll be enough Norse and other references like the poster above does, I'm just hoping they aren't getting many of their ideas from the movie the OP stated for that matter...

Wait, an owerpowered hammer can't be just an easter egg, do you realize that. If it was stuck in the ground so no one could pick it up like in the movie, then maybe, but not if you could use it.

If it's not in the game, someone will mod it in. There's a WIP to put Mj?lnir into Oblivion, so it's a safe bet we'll see it in Skyrim one way or another.

As much as I think Thor is going to be an OKAY movie.... lets talk about the Icewind Dale for a moment.

Wulfgar - great friend of drizzt - has the coolest hammer of them all Aegis Fang! Granted it was molded around mjolnir, i think the lore behind it is far greater.

Please emulate this hammer in the game please

I don't know about Mjolnir, but Volendrung is already an in-series absurdly powerful magic hammer, although without the additional connotations of fertility and lightning storms.

Although I wouldn't object to any Norse easter eggs, like a spear called Gungnir or, of course, the hammer itself.

No it's not. It's in a tomb just east of Sadrith Mora. :P

...which I crept into by level 5 with one particular character. :D
