Load crashing can't be restored from what I know..

I'll say up front I'm an android user.

Now we got that out of the way and the smarter people still reading this, I might have some bad news for you guys.

Seeing as in the android section we've seen very fast that if the load screen bug appears, the savegame is 0kb.

A regular vault should be at least 250 kb from what I've seen.

0kb sadly cannot be fixed....

Just wanted to let you know, as there are a LOT of people in here just hanging on to a savegame that might not be able to be saved at all.....

Not sure if at all possible on iOS devices, but can you get into the file system to backup your saves? If so, this might be a good time to do so... :)

Just from looking at my phone, I can see that the game itself takes up 714mb and the documents and data takes up 2mb. I only had one vault on my phone. I'm not sure if I can look at further save file information once I'm on my personal computer or not. That's definitely a good point about checking to see if saved games even still exist.

For the record, I also had the load screen bug (aka permanent crash bug) happen to me when I was playing on my iPad. After a day or so I thought it was time to search for a solution and I wanted to retrieve my savegame from my iPad. And I can say and confirm here: it is possible. I'm now even still playing with my same old vault, but on my Android device. Because I transferred the savegame. Of course if the savegame is 0KB then I believe there is little to be fixed.

I made a post on how you might be able to "fix" your game. You could retrieve your savegame and play it on an Android device, or you could try messing with a backup of your iOS device in order to play it again (although I still have to try out this method, but I believe it should be very well possible). http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1534650-how-to-retrieve-your-savegame-if-you-got-the-permanent-crash/ to see how I fetched my savegame.

TinyBouvier has made an AWESOME DISCOVERY and although it did not work for my 1.2mb VAULT, I can now transfer my second built vault to my AMIDUOS PC run vault and working great! I believe once the file size is too big, vault will undoubtedly crash and since Bethesda does not seem to care about us, well, have fun for the present.

Tnx for that! Something new learned is a good day!

I really hope people will be able to backup their games more easily, especially on iOS, and had I known, my first vault (42) wouldn't still just be sitting there collecting dust or whatever programs collect inside a phone..

Still looking for a programmer (c or java, not sure lots of { and } thingies) to try and fix the 45 second crash... PM me if you know somebody/are that person!
