Load Order and Save Files

Alright so I need help with understanding the load order for mod files. From a little research, I discovered that LOOT works best (at least for beginners like me) for configuring your load order decently. The Nexus Mod Manager was also recommended for easily organizing mods while also being able to activate or deactivate them.

The most pressing concern I have is how mods affect my saved game files. For example do I have to start over if a particular save file is corrupted by a mod conflict? Where can I securely save game files so that I can recover it in case of a crash?

Also, I'm a little bit confused about ENB mods. Does it extend the game's VRAM limit? Which one is best for performance?

Thanks :)
