I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section, I used to be very good at this stuff but I haven't played in several years so I've forgotten all I knew since Oblivion.

I'm having strange problems that usually don't break my game but the one I found today is a game breaker. I need to hire someone but every time I talk to them and agree on their price it won't go past that point to allow them to join me.
