Load order problem?

I haven't played FO3 in quite a while, but I wanted to give the game another go after I see the huge mods that have been developed for it since its release. Having used FCOM in Oblivion, I wanted to go with the most ridiculously huge modset overhaul overhaul overhaul that I could possibly use...

However, my game crashes on startup automatically, which svcks. I'm using the FOMM, merged patches, etc etc, and followed a few different resources. Here's my current load order:

I might be wrong,but EVE is Incorporated in FOOK2.

Eve IS incorporated. Maybe not the latest version but I'm pretty sure it is.

Also a certain killable esp is placed before the main killable...and I'm reluctant to say as I don't want the thread closed on you. Look in the optional. Pretty sure its not suppose to be before the main esp there.

Just a thought. =)

I might be wrong,but EVE is Incorporated in FOOK2.
It is in v1.1 which has yet to be released, but v1.0 included a separate plugin, FOOK2 [EVE] Energy Visuals Enhanced.esp, and hadn't yet fully integrated WJS' work.

OP: If the other suggestions don't resolve the issue, try discarding/rebuilding your merged pach or skipping it entirely in favor of the appropriate FOIP plugins. If you've removed anything that was added to your merged patches masterlist, it could explain your crash. If it still won't work, delete your Fallout.ini

With FO3 Wanderers Edition you do not use these, so take them out:

Mart's Mutant Mod - Hunting & Looting.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod - Increased Spawns.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod - Reduced Wasteland Spawns.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.esp

In the FWE menu, you would customize the spawns and other such things :)

Load your list in FO3Edit and check the "Messages" tab in the right panel for warnings which will point you to what's missing what, then remove plugins until you see "[00:00] Background Loader: finished".

Odd...The game is crashing upon started (after loading the bethesda logo) regardless of whether or not any mods are enabled or not. I removed the fallout stutter remover, tried to run game without FOSE, and still no dice. I was sure to run the game when I first started all of this, and it ran fine. What could have gone wrong? I've been using purely fomods, btw.

Have you made any changes to the ini? CTD's on startup are usually caused either by missing masters or something in the ini. You might try deleting FALLOUT.INI in My Documents/My Games/Fallout 3 and let the game generate a new one on startup and see if it helps.

Oddly enough, DUI was causing the problem. When I deleted the "menu" folder the startup crashes stopped, and now the game runs (mostly) fine. However, I'm suffering from a few somewhat persistent crashes (every 20-60 mins). Not sure what it is, and the mods check out fine in the fo3edit. Here's my current load order:

Crashes seem to happen most often when I'm in the wasteland exterior.

edit: Should I be getting rid of all the EVE plugins besides the FOOK eve?
