XO: Loading game at start seems endless after modding

Post » Fri Nov 04, 2016 6:56 pm

Skyrim was running smoothly with my current mods which were: Alternate Start, Ars Metallica, Forgotten City, Unofficial Patch, Belt fastened quivers, Hunters Reward. (They were in correct order)

I realised a few NPC merchants had died, so I downloaded the Cheat Room mod. I didn't try it out because I got distracted by other mods, and proceeded to download: Lanterns of Skyrim, Skyrim Player revoiced elven races male, Seraphim Body Replacer + Extras.

So when I decided to play again, it simply took too long for the continue save to start. So I quit my game, re started the disc and decided to try and disable some mods to make it quicker. I disabled: Belt fastened quivers and Hunters reward. A message appeared saying that the saves rely on content that is no longer present, some objects may no longer be available. I click yes, and the whole game just froze.

All I want to do is play the game with mods, without this seemingly endless continue to last save loadscreen. If I can't do this, what would you recommend I do?

Any help?

Thank you.

Try disabling all of your mods and see if it works. If you just want to play vanilla now, the worst case scenario is that you delete your install of Skyrim and just reinstall it.

Also, enabling and disabling mods during a game can mess things up. Next time start a new character if you're going to be fiddling with your mods.
