Loading Screen Help

I need some help getting custom loading screens to show up in-game. I used the photoshop trial to make them, so unforetuneately i cant access the .dds option for file format. i u sed dds convertor to convert from .psd to .dds. i set them to dxt5 compression and no mip-maps. i dropped them in the loading screens directory, set the path to start with all capital letters, and set the path through the CS, made new text for it and all. but when i see them in-game its still the default elven one. what am i doing wrong here?

Ok I first let me say that Photo shop does not have a dds format with out an addon program. Here is a file that should help you out for working on Loading screens,http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4263.

ok ive found the source of the problem, in the CS, i set the path to Textures/Menus/Loading/MyLoadScreen, but! for whatever reason, the CS is changing it to Textures/menus/Loading/MyLoadScreen. this is whats causeing it to default back to the default elven armor one, because the CS with loading screens is case sensitive. how would i go about getting it to not do this? the path in my data directory says Menus, not menus with a little m.

Look in your windows explorer at that location there may be a space at the start for the directory for Menu Reason I suggest it is that CS puts all letters to capital when it is the first letter of a Directory. If it is then I would remove the files to the correct folder. I would use windows explorer for all of this. After you do a shift of directories then you will probably have to do the file system for the individual Load Screens.

If not then read below

Did you copy one of the preexisting Loading screens and edit or did you creat one from scratch. I would make sure if you made it from scratch that all the boxes are filled in except the Text box that is the only one that seems optional.

i set them to dxt5 compression and no mip-maps.

Such compression is not really necessary for loading screens. DXT5 is good when texture benefits from use of alpha channel, and Loading Screens have no such channels. The best compression for LS (quality/size ratio) is DXT1 (with 1 bit Alpha) - there's no difference in quality, but it's file size is half of that saved with DXT5 compression.
