my loadscreen objects have the colour of my pipboy

Post » Sat Dec 05, 2015 3:44 pm

is there any way to change it back, so that they have their actual colours?

I know that you can move the objects with WASD, but what's the button to change the colour? ^^

thanks

You press 'X' on console 'Xbox' to change the look of the floating objects in the loading screen.

I was wondering, maybe this will actually come in handy? Has anyone seen anything interesting in the loading screen? While messing with the views?

Okay, this is awesome. And I might not have ever even found out about it, if it wasn't for this post - thank you!

I far prefer the green, although I think they could have made something really cool that was in between the regular 3D model and the green 3D model. Let me explain.

Fallout 3's loading screen slides - and menu slides - were awesome. You felt like you were in the world of that game. Every part of the game drew you into the game world.

But then Skyrim came along, with its 3D models in the loading screens, and every time there was loading, I felt disconnected from the game. I was reminded, oh yes, you're showing me a 3D model from the game, I'm playing a game. It was disruptive to my immersion.

So Fallout 4 did the same thing - 3D models - and I was pretty disappointed. And the opening menu just being a tour around the 3D environment with the power armor - also very disappointing.

That's why I love the green. It makes me feel like I'm still in the world of the game while I have to wait. I'm just looking at some data on my PipBoy.

I wish they had added some light wireframe to it as well, making it look more like a schematic.

And I wish it would remember that I've switched to green, and not go to the regular 3D model by default every time.
