Is there any information about the pc version of the game having a friend pre-game lobby like modern warfare 2?

Myself and four friends primarily play fps together and where very disappointed with Black Ops lack of a friends lobby and difficulty to be on the same team. We even rented a server hoping that it would help but it did not, even tho the "broken" switch team option came about 3-4 months after the game's release...

When creating a fireteam, you and your friends are put in the same team.

I don't think that's quite what he's asking.

I think he means "Can your friends form up into a party before going into matchmaking, so that you both join at the same time and stay on the same team?"

They've talked about fire teams and how the matchmaking tries to make it so you will stay with your fire team and such. I don't have much more specifics other then that. Supposedly, when you join with a friend it will automatically create a fire team for you.

That was answered in the second part of my post.
You create a fireteam, which is basicly a group, and thus will stay with your friend (also this enables VoIP for everyone in the team). Fireteams can be created both while playing (with randoms) and beforehand (with friends).
(These are no hard facts, but from all the info we've gotten so far and the way it works in all the other games, I'm very sure this is how it works.)

There's been no 100% confirmation about being able to create a fireteam/party and go into a game AFTER creating a group, but inviting friends/joining friends is confirmed to automatically put you together - so that will help.

Also no confirmation on lobbies except the "cutscenes replace lobby loading screen" explanation - MIGHT rule out lobbies entirely, but might just cut in once you've put together your group of friends and hit "start" so you get something to watch while the map loads.

if the game is full and u have 7 friends on wanting to join then what?...........so u see that wont really help

I'm fairly sure it will be in, but they haven't clarified in anything I've seen, so it's more common sense + hope (and a fairly reasonable expectation that SD have common sense too).

Most likely, but I don't think it really will bring a big difference.

i find it fun sometimes to be against your friends one round then on a team the next!
it's always fun to OWN your friends and OWN others with your friends
