The setting is the Capital Wasteland. At least for a little bit.

Weeks passed since the boat came. South-west of Rivet City sat a mysterious boat. Not many rode the boat to wherever it took them, and most people didn't come back. People went there to trade with the ferryman. Others didn't go near because of the stories they had heard about. Most of the Capital Wasteland just payed no attention to it and went on with their lives.

One man had to figure out what was going on with the boat. He had his own group of mercenaries. They were decent friends for a while now. And, so they journeyed from their home and went south to where the boat stood. They met the ferryman, and offered a ride to a place called Point Lookout. They accepted, but had no idea what awaited them there.

This is the sign-up.

The rules:

1: No ubering
2: No power armor or strong armor
3: No drunk/stupid characters, that means you can't misspell on purpose or act dumb like: "frank walkde in 2 the room adn knoked over a pot n sez,'hEy, were's the booze lololololol' then he fell ovar and passde out"
4: No mega-weapons like a fat-man or alien blaster
5: No controlling unless you have permission from the person(Don't just say you have permission, I will ask that person to see if you're lying or not)
6: You can't kill someone's character unless you have permission(As said above, I will find out if you're telling the truth)
7: BE ORIGINAL!! I'm sick and tired of everybody's character being an ex-BoS and an assassin who does whatever the hell he wants and his whole family is dead and he swares revenge. It's not that hard to make up a REAL history.
8: Don't disrespect others, it's rude and you will get kicked out for it. That means, no: Insulting, vular behavior, cursing out, sixual harrassment, and various other things.. you know the deal.
9: Try not to have six, I may allow it on some cases, but never go into detail. Just say you went in, did your business, and came out.
10: Romance is allowed, but don't go too far. Violence is allowed as well, but I don't want to know about the human anatomy, okay?

Now that we have the rules done with, here's my bio.


Name: Aiden Williams

six: Male

Age: 27

Race: Human, Caucasian(I will allow swampfolk, ghoul, etc. If you're a swampfolk, you MUST include why you join the mercs.)

Faction/Alliance: Neutral, mercenary

Weapons: R91 Assault Rifle, silenced N99 10mm Pistol, combat knife

Armor: None

Clothing: Black overcoat that goes down to hips, faded white t-shirt underneath coat. Black and white scarf hung loosely around neck, fingerless driving gloves, black jeans that are a little tight on legs. Black shin-high boots.

Appearance: Shoulder-length black hair. Height: 5'4, a bit thin.

Personality: Prefers to befriend those of his own kind, friendly and outgoing with strangers or people he is meeting for the first time, sometimes agressive and annoyed when things aren't done according to plan, secretly scared of pitch-black situations.

History(optional, but recommended): Aiden was born in the Pitt, but was taken out by his parents who were slavers in the Pitt. Since they just had a child, they knew they couldn't raise him in a place like that. They brought him to the Capital Wasteland and raised him in Megaton. He moved out when he was nineteen, and spent four years in a home in Grayditch. He had plenty of unusde guns and ammo, and decided to put them to use. He started his own mercenary group, and the first headquarters was his home in Grayditch.

They later found a large building in the DC ruins unoccupied and made that into their base. Their technician made the door only possible to open with a password. They have had several run-ins with other merc groups like Reiley's Rangers and the Talons, but never had gunfights with them. They had a small war with Super Mutants and won, but barely. Most of their ammo supplies were drained and al ltheir armor was damaged and unusable. They currently are heading to the ferry docked south of the Citadel to explore the land for treasure and weaponry.

Weapon: sniper rifle, chinese pistol, combat knife.

Armor/clothing: Dirtied up business suit.

Appearance: Ginger. Bunched up, curly red hair. about 5'10' and very skinny.

Personality: Very personable. Tries to make friends with everybody, and has a very mild temper. Was a salesman before he was a merc.

History: Was born into a humble family of Shoe retailers. After parents were killed trying to sell some pre-war cleets to some raiders Tommy took control of the family busness. He failed epicly and became capless and desparate. Tommy traveled to Grayditch after hearing rumors of work as a Merc.

Good bio. I'll say when there's too many people in the merc group, and if you're in the merc group, post your position in the group(medic, engineer, technician, sniper, big guns, etc.)

I'd like to see people post stuff like Tribals or Swampfolk. It'd be interesting.

Appearance: Thick brown hair in long shoulder length dreadlocks, goatee, one blue eye and one green. Muscular body with many tribal tattoos and some scars, 6'2" in height.

Personality: Friendly for the most part, but he's always wary about who he runs with. Being a tribal, he's submitted himself to many hallucinogens, which sometimes causes flashbacks and can make him go into a complete state of frenzy, but he is able to control it by slowly taking more of this drug.

History: Born in Point Lookout as a tribal boy in an old mansion, Abraham was brought up in the strange tribal life. He was named after the great Abraham Lincoln. When he grew up, he saw his parents brutally murdered and eaten by the Swampfolk, he ran away and was saved by Jackson, who was a Tribal Leader in an old chapel. When he was 19 he took a trip to the Great Punga and ate its seeds. His trip lasted so long, that he managed to kill 10 Swampfolk in the matter of an hour, receiving grievous wounds.

He woke up, changed. He was now a true Tribal. Years later he has joined the Mercs because of his hate of the Swampfolk as well as some problems he's had with his Tribal kin. He acts best as a scout and pointman.

I know I said I wouldn't join, but I guess I'm bipolar, this seems kinda fun. The only thing I can be is a mercenary though..

Clothing: Navy blue t-shirt, blue jeans, black leather gloves, black combat boots, dark blue bandanna .

Appearance: Brown hair that goes a little past his neck, wears a bandanna to keep out of his green eyes. About 6'1, lithe body. Slightly pale complexion.

Personality: Calm and collected, Ivan keeps his wits, even during the most trying situations. Cares for their group only, and anyone else can go to hell.

History: Born of Rivet City scientists, Ivan learned a lot about electronics. His parents were very loving and caring and over the years helped him build a great knowledge over equipment. Ivan didn't like the idea of staying in one place, however, and soon left to go explore the capital wasteland. He took his father's weapons, he figure he needed them more and left when he was only seventeen. He had no experience in shooting, but over the period of a year, he learned to defend himself and became a pretty decent marksman. He found Aiden while he was traveling through Grayditch and eagerly became part of the group. He spent three years with him before they moved to a new location.

Weapons: 'Cleatus'- Regular Axe, Nothing Special

Armor: N/A

Clothing: Workman's Overalls- Ripped and twisted at the top, with one strap cut off altogether. Has a thick, large belt tied around the waist with holsters on both sides
'Holler Mask'- A hollowed out Bloatfly abdomen was cut in half and had a strip of fabric tied at the sides to turn it into a grotesque-looking, pale yellow mask with Bloatfly antennae sticking out the top.


Appearance: Red's relatively normal looking for a Swampfolk. His clothing hides most of his skin, but his arms and most of his upper torso is visible. His skin is an angry-looking, irritated pink color, with some growths on his arms and a couple bulges that can be seen poking out of the back of his shirt. His right arm is drastically more deformed than any other part of his body, being unnaturally huge and Tracker-like with it's flabby exterior and muscular nodes. The arm is the reason for the upper right part of his shirt being distorted and ripped. His face, aside from being colored, is also normal looking, except for the splotches of pimples that are spread all over it. His eyes are an eerie light green color, and his teeth are yellowed. He has no hair at all, but his mask covers a little bit of his scalp.

Personality: Red's surprisingly friendly, despite most of his kin's behavior. Because of his semi-normal appearance, he tends to try and get along with all types of people, even if they don't receive him well back. He's not as dim-witted as most take him for, and he doesn't like to associate himself with his barbaric Swampfolk kind. However, that's not to say he won't try and reason with his own kind as well. Problem is, his 'outsider' behavior caused him to get shunned a lot in the Swampfolk community. He cracks jokes and acts like an optimist in even the most inappropriate times, and admits to having a demented sense of humor.

History(optional, but recommended):
Red was born to two normal Swampfolk parents, and lived the first twelve years of his life in their lifestyle without thinking about it. He divulged in all of what the Swampfolk life was like, even killing in the spirit of his kin.
In his thirteenth year, a massive Smuggler raid on Swampfolk territory killed both his parents, and he was forced to strike out on his own.
He started to observe the local Tribals, and befriended them. It was a difficult life, though. He was beginning to show signs of 'human' attributes, and his own kind started to dislike him, even shooting him at random intervals. Tribals didn't like helping him, either. If it weren't for the occasional gracious soul, he would have died from starvation. He got pretty crafty, though, and scraqed by with his makeshift tools and items.
Eventually, he started watching and approaching travelers from Point Lookout Pier. He loved to hear stories of the outside world, and often traded info for artifacts from the Wasteland and beyond.

Finally, after a long period where nobody visited, he came to the conclusion that he wanted to leave Point Lookout. But to do that, he'd need to find a group to travel with and guide.
And so, he waits beside the dock, waiting for the next boat to pull in...

Weapons: Lever-Action rifle in fairly good condition that fires .44 rounds, an old .44 magnum, and a hatchet.

Armor: None

Clothing: Tribal Outfit, Confederate soldier hat. Found a gray jacket which he believes belonged to a confederate soldier, but that is up for argument by his peers.

Appearance: Short, raggedy brown hair. Stands at 6'1" with an average build. Patch over his left eye. Has a very bushy beard. Dark skin from the mixture of dirt and time spent in the sun.

Personality: A tribal fanatic, he acts on impulse and is very ruthless. He is very rude to almost everyone he meets, and is commonly the bastard of the group. The tribal initiation and subsequent brainwashing have made him this violent.

History(optional, but recommended):

Gary had arrived in Point Lookout with a trade caravan from the Great Lanta at the young age of 19. It was only a few days after his arrival he had run into the violent swampfolk. His only choice at the time to stay in Point Lookout and avoid death was to join the tribals. He was a gun freak all his life, and has become very proficient at their maintenance and use. His time in Point Lookout warped his mind, and to an extent his body, and made him into the violent zealot he is today.

History(optional, but recommended): James Conney was born in the capital wasteland to a family of farmers. From a young age he was in excellent shape, having to do rigorous exercise for his family. He has 16 siblings. When James was seventeen he left his parents farm to find a large settlement to live his life out. James found Rivet City, and settled down for a good five years. Then one day, a group of mercs entered Rivet City looking for possible recruits. James joined up and is now one of the top heavy weapons experts of the group.

History: David was born in Megaton, but left to explore the wastes when he was 18. After having various misadventures throughout the Capital Wasteland and growing more experienced, he found himself in need of work. This led David to offer his services as a mercenary, partially to help others and make some caps, and partially to sate his wanderlust. Currently, he serves as the group cartographer, but can hold his own in a fight.

- 6ft Spear w/ sirated blades

- Club w/ wooden handle and large rock tied on top.

Armor: Inverted triangle of bones leading from longest to shortest. Goes from his chest down to his stomach w/ leather for padding. Straps to wrap around the back.

Clothing:

- Loin Cloth leading down to his knees
- Collection of human skulls that are tied together throught the eyes, acting as a "belt".
- Necklace w/ large claw as the pendant

Appearance:

- Dark tanned skin
- Long Brown messy hair goes to his shoulders
- 5' 10" tall
- 190lbs
- Muscular build and tone, better shape than a prime wastelander.
- Several scars on body from battles

Misc:

- Small animal bones and rocks of different colors and sizes.
- Flat rock used to sharpen weapons.
- Explosive powders used for rituals that explode into different colors.

Personality: A very spiritual person, Ajax does not go into a fight without consulting the gods. He has a small little sack made from Brahmin skin, that carries small animal bones and rocks of different colors and shapes that he uses to speak with the gods. If the gods do not think a situation is right, he will not continue on. The gods have never steared him wrong. He is a kind man to most, usually not very intune with the wastelanders of today, prefering to keep things simple and not have the hassle of carrying such loud and intrusive weapons. He is a bold and strong fighter, and has been in many fights with Swampfolk and other tribals.

History: Ajax grew up in what wastelanders call Point Lookout. He was always a strong and big child, but he never bullied or beat the other children unless they needed to be put in their place. When Ajax grew up, he was taken through some trials where he was sent out into the swamps to discover who he was, and what he was to become. While out in the swamp, Ajax came across a large humanoid that attacked him with a strange sonic attack. Armed only with a simple knife, Ajax was finally able to subdue the beast but suffered some major wounds in the process. As Ajax grew older and wiser, he began to follow a more spiritual following, seeing those creatures that attacked him as evil spirits and demonds.

He finds most wastelanders to be untame and spiritualy lost. Though he doesn't push his spiritual views on wastelanders or other tribals, he does however make sure they know that he will not go into a fight without consulting the gods.

I will take a crack at this without making a mistake

Name: Dakayev Solek

Age: 29

six: Male

Race: Human, Caucasian

Faction/Alliance: Neutral, mercs

Role: Negotiator and squad grunt

Weapons: Chinese assault rifle, two spare clips of ammo, chinese pistol , 70 rounds of 10mm ammo.

Armor: None

Clothing: Soviet military jumpsuit, Ushanka

Appearance: Medium sized, 6.1 feet tall, black hair, typical European (pre-war standards) messy hair

Personality: Over-zealous in his cause and objective, but very negotiable and diplomatic.

History: Dakayev was the great grandson of a militaristic family stationed in the U.S. The family he was in was a spy front towards the U.S, to gain favor with China in the case of nuclear war. After his great gran-dad died, the man left a reservation in a civilian-class fallout bunker. When the bombs fell, his family was spared, without mutation. He was eventually born, honing the jumpsuit his family handed down. Dakayev left his family when the bunker controller (Civilian verson of the overseer) announced that people would be allowed to go outside. Dakayev was homeless , hungry, and depressed for the first few years of his life.

Eventually he found an old building inside of the so called "capital wasteland". Leaving off to find what was inside, he was suprised to see a organized group of mercenaries residing within. Dakayev, having a good skill at diplomacy, was able to convince the mercs to not shoot him in exchange for membership and service. He now is in league with the group and provides a voice for the group when the situation is tense, and negotiation seems bleak.

And everyone who made a bio is in. I was very surprised to see professional writers and great RPers like Dr. Strangelove and Enclave Radio. We will start tomorrow! In the merc group, the remaining spots needed are:

+Engineer
+Medic
+Machine Gunner

Once those spots are filled, we may start, and no more mercs will be accepted. I would appreciate more Swampfolk characters, the guy wh made a Swampfolk, good job. I didn't think so many people would play as a Tribal, either.

I also love how the guy with the Russian character used the Ushanka's real name. Alot of these bios are really creative.

Nope, never been to Palestine or Israel. But I have been in that region on several occasions. And its not just Palestine that they have those style of scarfs.
