Does anyone else find lockpicking pretty easy? I am at the beginning of the game and have been stocking to DB and Thieves guild quests and have succesfully picked every single lock I have come across. Even some masters! However it usually takes me between 5-10 tries on the masters. It is kind of a waste to have to go through pointless (well pointless for a good lockpicker) perks to get to treasure hunter. Anyway, am I talented or does the general community find lockpicking fairly easy? I am the best out of my real life friends at lockpicking in Skyrim.
My strategy:
I usually just move the pick around in random places starting from one side, usually skipping about 10-15% of the total half circle at a time until it gives a bit. Then I look at the rusted part on the outer circle of the lock that stays the same, this way I can always know what to look for if my pick breaks and adjust it as needed.
Eg.
Gives a little to the right of two little white dots *lockpick breaks*. *Puts next pick a little closer to white dots* *repeat*. Get enchanted sword worth 1000 on master chest for lockpicks worth 1 gold.
