Lockpicking mouse pointer issue anyone else?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:25 pm

I had this in Vista 64 and still in W7 64.

Trying to move the mouse around in the lock picking screen is not easy. The pointer disappears around the sides, doesn't seem to align well or something. General annoyance factor.

I have the same thing but you don't really need the pointer. So long as you can see the pick, it works OK. In fact, I've found seeing the pointer to be a distraction while trying to pick locks.

I've only played in Windows XP, but I've also had a problem with the pointer. In my case it will disappear until I either move the mouse around awhile or click a mouse button a few times.

I'm on Vista PC. My current char won't touch a lock pick for rp reasons, but with previous characters, I had the same experience as Pseron Wyrd.

Same problem here. Bit of a problem when trying to press the "Auto Attempt" button (in an RPG i'd rather use character skill than player skill :stare:)

So not just an issue with OS that came out after the game did.

Yeah I have the same problem. There is a mod out there I remember seeing that makes lockpicking the same as morrowind. So lockpicks can be used more than once and the chance of opening it is based on your skill rather than using a minigame.

Yeah, I didn't entirely like the lock-picking interface either. I play in 3rd person view and I can't see if a merchant's shop has opened yet in the morning and I wind up getting the lock tumbler window. It's a pain trying to exit the darn thing without incurring 5 bounty.
