F4 LOD?

Sorry if this has already beed asked, didnt see it.

My biggest concern right now are about LODs. Farlod, lod and immediate surroundings need to blend... Skyrim LOD is so meh... any word of that?

My point is: Im not worried only with 2k x 4k x 8k textures atm, because good LOD transitions are needed for HD gameplay, dont want just HD painting for screenshots.

From 2005 with Oblivion to 2011 with Skyrim the LOD has always been extremely meh. Looks very muddy from a distance, and as you approach large objects you can obviously see the detail popping in.

But thats just the Xbox 360 at work. Its 2015 now, and they're designing around new hardware that is miles ahead of the previous hardware. Its hard to capture the feeling on video since you need to be in control of movement to notice how it is, but I am willing to bet that there's some major improvement with how LODs work just on the technical side of having more detail at longer ranges due to the increased power of the systems. We dont know anything about the technical side of the game to guess beyond that, but atleast we're not on that 360 anymore.

Considering they've only shown us a few glimpses of LOD I'm thinking it'll be business as usual but slightly prettier.

I would think their main concern is more about how the game plays rather than how vanity screenshots look. I seriously disliked the distance scaling of objects rather than the lack of detail or focus issues.
