Well I managed to get to Initializing Playlists window but then it kinda died and the game presented me with login screen again. Thought it was the problem on my end... apparently not.

I think this is my fifth huge issue with Crysis 2 (flickering, low fps on cfx, login to mp, cd-key, and noq this). If i had only knew this game was having all this issues, dont think i would have bought it...

I don't have ICS enabled and the program is in my firewall exception list... but I keep getting the network connectivity issue. Running Win7 64 bit with a wired connection.. any one gotten that to work yet?

Pretty sad that this game can't just use standard TCP/IP to connect to a server or the Development team can't clearly state what's going on that kills the connection. 1/2 of the reason I bought this game was to engage in multiplayer content, and I'm screwed?

First, and probably last Crytek game for me. This is just stupid.

Seems Crysis2.exe is trying to use IRC protocols to log in to the gamesas.com site (I never have logged in in 3 days of trying). I found that my McAfee was blocking/terminating the communication so I changed the block rule in the OnAccessScan settings to exclude Crysis2.exe from that rule, and it logged right in.

Everyone that has never been able to log in should check their anti-virus logs and make sure it's not blocking communication..

k.. off to multi-player now! (I hope!).

IF YOU STILL HAVE THE DEMO INSTALLED UN-INSTALL IT! Reinstall the Game, Repatch, Login, Then Play.

The Full game is referring to models that arnt in the Demo, its a Registry Problem.

I have tried the DMZ trick, turning ip v6 thing, forwarded all my ports, even turned my firewall completely off but I still cannot get the game to run. I have been able to play with no problems at all before however. And I'm pretty sure I didn't change any settings of my computer or network. The only different before and after I had problems, as far as I can tell was that the game patched itself to 1.2

What's funny is I installed the game at my office computer and I can connect there with no problems.

Vengence212: If it is a registry problem, any ideas on how I can resolve it? I deleted the demo before every installing the game. And I have tried re-installing the game with no luck.

Hopefully the upcoming patch solves this annoying issue.

I can't even get past the login screen. That is just lovely. I let all the ports through my router, windows firewall, personal firewall, disabled IPV6, changed Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection, changing account name and password but still nothing. I still get the message ""Connot connect to multiplayer. Please check your network connectivity and try again later."".

If you have the problem where you try to login and it fails and says there is a problem with your connectivity, try this. Haven't seen this posted yet so I'm putting it out there.

1. Navigate to Network and Sharing Center.
2. Select "Change Adapter Settings" in the left pane.
3. Right click on your active connection and select properties.
4. Click on the "Sharing" tab at the top and deselect "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection.

This worked for me and has worked ever since. If this is already out there, sorry for wasting your time :D.

-----------------------------

Alternate Fix:

this method has not worked (for me). So I crawled deeper into the problem and found where it sits. Everything is connected with the service ICS. After much suffering I've gone from the reverse and turned off the service of ICS. Wow let me log in! To do this: Click Start-> Control Panel-> Administrative Tools-> Services-> Default view-> search (Sharing internet connection (ICS)) click on "turn off"
Everything is fine but all the computers in the network are left without the internet (as long as this service is turned off). Service can be enabled again when you enter a multiplayer mode. I checked 5 times when the service is enabled game reports: "An error has occurred. Check your network connection" when service is turned off in the game admits.
Network diagram I have the following: the main computer (mine) to him through the switch are connected notebooks, I share them internet. Internet itself works for me through the VPN connection (connection is done through a local network provider). As a result, I have 2 local connection (1 provider, 1 home), a VPN connection (the Internet on a specific tariff) in the system is respectively 2 network cards.
Forgive sorry for bad english, I'm from Russia and just learn it at Technical University 4 course:-D
I hope I have helped you.

Well, I tried what you said, but I couldn't connect to gamesas ingame anymore. When I reverted, things went back to normal.
For me it didn't work, but I hope that to other it did =)

You already answered your own question. You paid. Thats all they wanted you to do. You think EA cares about your stupid little game time? They could give a crap less. Good luck finding any staff that care either
