"Login data not correct" - Potential fix, please advise

i asked someone at EA live support to delete my Account so i can make a new one... i said my gamesas accountname is xeek and he answered that there were alot of accounts with that name so he couldn't delete it.
Since you cant login with your unique email and there are more xeek's, i think this could be the problem

Tried changing password again but still getting "Incorrect login details, please retry. for account maintenance, or to change password, please access your profile through gamesas" when trying to login to multiplayer.

I also tried this fix and it didn't work for me. I really hope this issue is resolved soon :(

EDIT: Now It's apparently not my login data, but rather the network connection.

could you advise on the following? I tried to PM you this information but it just sits in the outbox... not sure if this sheds any light on the database issues you are having with accounts......

The whole problem started when I first signed up on gamesas.com to play the Multiplayer demo; I signed up with the nickname "RiGoRmOrTiS"; however for the full duration of the multiplayer demo I could only sign-in to the website; it wouldn't allow me to sign-in to the game.

Now that I have the retail version I'm still having the same problem. So I tried signing up within the game (Rather than the website). This time I used the SAME email address, but changed the nickname to RiGoRmOrTiS_UK; this allowed me to login from within the game; so now I've got two different nicknames on one e-mail address. Didn't think this was possible but hey-ho; it works. I applied my Limited Edition Key to the account; which kinda worked; however everytime I login to the game it says it's applied by bonuses but my Rank stays at 1.

So I decided to go back to the gamesas website and see what happens when I login with my e-mail address. It still goes to my old "RiGoRmOrTiS" nickname. Even though I've now got two nicknames registered to one e-mail address.

Then I thought; I wonder what happens if I delete my account; so I did. Now I can't login with my e-mail address or RiGoRmOrTiS. However I can still login if I put RiGoRmOrTiS_UK as the nickname. However it randomly swaps between RiGoRmOrTiS and RiGoRmOrTiS_UK depending on which page I'm on and if I use my e-mail address as the username to login it fails.

After a week is this realy the best crytek has to offer?
If they would read the feedback from users on the issues in particular threads they would know that this does not work.

Anyway i tried this on my other account also and did nothing.
Actually, it has worked for quite a few people.

Please check your PM's shortly guys as i'm going to be sending some info out.

Were the PM's sent?
I didn't received anything.

Actually i don't know why crytek use the email to login like the EA ....
I think that could be a solution!

i have two old crysis 1 (gamespy) accounts which are working fine with crysis 2 without any issues, i think the whole thing is because of the combination or merging of two databases

Changing the password did not work for me. My username is the email, might be that is the reason? Can't change my username so nothing is working to log in.

Thing still says it was incorrect. I tried this before, multiple times.
Thank you for trying though. While I think it was irresponsible to have these glitches on release, I do thank you all for working on fixes.
Anyways the message says to preform account maintnance here. Obviously that's what I tried and it didn't work.

I have another odd bug whihc i don't think has been mentioned yet...

I created a new account called "Bodomite" and it works fine in game as I can login and play. However, it refuses to let me log into the gamesas website with the same details.

What's worse is that before creating the new account, I deleted the one I'm currently posting from... My web browser automatically filled in my old details of the closed account when I was logging into gamesas and to my surprise the account was still open despite it being deleted successfully according to this site.

I cannot log into Crysis 2 with my gamesas account
This is a known issue that is currently being investigated, when there is a fix to it we will update this post with the correct link.
It seem, from what I have tried, that if ANY email associated with an existing gamespy account is used to TRY and create an account through Crysis 2 in game or gamesas.com it WILL NOT WORK. Same goes for claiming the limited edition code.
I used my work email address and BAM!! I was able to log into multiplayer, log into gamesas.com, and redeem my limited edition code. Only problem I'm still having is when i unlock an armor perk, I unlock & equip, & it is good tell i exit the game & come back... It still shows the that i have the perk & I can use it, BUT it shows that I never unlocked it. So, I unlock it or another one... & the same. Not that bad but kinda annoying.

Hope this helps.

I think part of the problem is the gamespy integration with gamesas.com. EVERY email address or username i tried that was also used for a gamespy account would not work. Kept kicking the same errors that everyone else has been having. As stated above i used my work email & now everything works.

FOUND SOLUTION, GO TO https://login.gamespy.com/ READ THE ACCOUNT NAME IN "Welcome XXXXXX, you are logged in!" AND LOGIN WITH THAT NICK AND THE PASSWORD OF THE ACCOUNT OF GAMESPY OR TRY THE ONE ON gamesas.COM.
AND WILL UNLOCK ALSO YOUR BONUS CONTENT.

YOU NEED TO HAVE THE SAME EMAIL FOR GAMESPY ACCOUNT AND gamesas.COM

I didn't go through all the replies, but my error message is slightly different. What I get is:

"Incorrect Login Details, please retry. For Account Maintenance, or to change password, please access your profile through gamesas."

I found this thread and changed my password, then went back to Crysis 2 and tried the new one. Still the same message.

Is this the same issue, or do I have a different one?

Hi

How long do I (we) have to wait until something as simple as logging into my (our) account(s) is fixed. I cant play multiplayer because it wont let me sign in in the game menu.

What type of customer care is this and dont tell us to leave the rant or crap out of it. We are your clients. You are a service provider. WHERE is the service ? If the product was good then you would not have a storm of crap on your heads.

Good thing you guys dont manufacture cars etc. imagine that **** storm...

Work faster your effort is not good enough.

i actualy tried your "potential fix" i even mentioned the log in and out and in of my mycrsis profil before i booted crysis2.
so i ve got an idea about whats happening.
by creating a new account for the demo i have seen that my nickname was given away at ea for example same on gamespy.

can it be that this three profiles got connected in the past 2 weeks.my claim is that i could imagine that we cant login with our profils because
for example
the older argeth profile on ea or gamespy got priority after the connection of the profils.so some older argeth and his profil had became the priority?

would answer, why so many peoples, obviously (by watching how many had been able to comment this bug)working profils dont work in game !?

Here's something odd. I can log in to gamesas.com with the same e-mail address and two different passwords. With password number 1, I get the message "Hi, MyXboxLiveName, welcome back!". With password number 2, I get "Hi, MyPlaystationNetworkName, welcome back!". I played the demo in all three systems (Xbox 360, PS3 and PC). I ended up getting the PC version on Steam. I still can't log in inside the game.
