"Login data not correct" - Potential fix, please advise

Hey guys,

For anyone that's receiving the error "Login data not correct" can you please go to this link in your profile: http://www.gamesas.com/forums/ucp.php?i=profile&mode=reg_details

Please change your password and submit, it should say "Your profile has been updated"

Now go back into the game and try login to the game with the new password. It should work.

Please advise if this does or doesn't work for you and exactly what errors/messages are appearing.

I followed your terms, what you wrote above, still says the error "Invalid data entry"

Hey Cry-Adam,

My problem is closely related, so I'll post it here. My nickname has a space in it. I can't use spaces in the nickname login box. What am I supposed to do?

didnt work 3 times..in german it says " Anmeldedaten nicht korrekt" i think thats the same like "Incorrect login details".

i tried to change my password in my profile via this link: ucp.php?i=profile&mode=reg_details , but it just dont take it... it says "Your profile has been updated" but when i logout at gamesas.com, and try to login, i have to type in the OLD password... what is wrong here?

Guys, i'm trying to help so please leave your rants out of this thread. I'm only after information, just as you guys are, so we can help each other by leaving the crap out and just sticking to the point.

It looks like we had a once off success (worked first go so i assumed it was solid) with regards to the password change but it's still being investigated so of course any updates i'll let you know here!

Password is not changed, but I changed it with the recovery.
However, it didn't work.

Thanks for this info! It's bugs like this that can cause root problems.

My second Accs works now :) but the server seems to be unstabble, after each round i lost the connection to the server.

hi,
i have created a new profil on gamesas with my emailadress + password.
in the multiplayer menu but I am now asked for a nickname + password??

How can i login ?
I don′t have a Nickname ?
I have created my profil with my emailadress + password.

if now invent a nick name + my password to enter, I get an error message, wrong logindetails ?
can I change my account name on gamesas yet somehow afterwards?

Ok, thanks for the feedback guys. I've unstuck this thread in order to make way for an actual fix when it comes.

@JG, underscore added. I don't know if it's a useable character or not though, let me know.

For those that changed their password, did you log out of the forums and log back in with the new password successfully before trying in-game?

Hi Cry-Adam,

i following your advise and i become ingame this error screen "Incorrect login details, please retry. for account maintenance, or to change password, please access your profile through gamesas" when i try to login into my account. I log out here in the forum and i log in with the new pw. and it is still the same problem in game.

Ok, sense rant post was deleted. I'll chime in as others, it doesn't work. Same issue as before with invalid login. From a technical stand point it looks like you've a database issue. At any rate I've SP to play still until resolve. I just hope we get an extension on claiming our bonus stuff as heard it expires the 26th. I've not claimed any of my keys yet as waiting for this to be working.

Maybe the problem its the connection of database between gamesas.com & gamespy servers?????

So i created a second account. With the new one it works once a time. At the second
connect in C2 the same problem again.

I noticed that when i tried the demo, it said something about gamespy in the multiplayer login screen. So i wonder is there any connection between gamesas and gamespy regarding which account you login with? If you got a gamespy account can you login with that for example?

And maybe that's why there is a lot of problems surrounding the login process?
