Apparently nobody from Rorikstead has either heard of or cares about him, anybody else feel bad for the horse thief?

He was a good man. The everyman hero, caught between Ulfric and the Dovahkiin. With two powerful vacuums of Fate, svcking up all the Destiny around him, he was bound to have the worst luck.

All he wanted was a horse to drive his wagon, to drive his family to safety, away from the warfront. But that's all yada yada noncanon

I found it odd that he, like you was supposedly caught up in the raid by accident, yet his name is on the list o_O

I never really forgot about him. First time I ended up in Rorikstead I thought to myself "Ah so this is where Lokir was from" Didn't find a house or a mourning wife and kids wondering where he went. Granted was he ever a long way from home.

Well that would mean that why we were was already defined. We are intuduced into Skyrim as unknown and nameless. If we were on the list, that would mean we had a past someone knew about. So much for a clean slate

Aye, but the point was that those on the list were people who were known to be Stormcloaks. Lorik wasn't, thus his name logically shouldn't be on the list like yours. The Legion had a list of Ulfric entourage, poor Lorik was not apart of it.

Think about what you just said, you are suggesting that the names of every known person is skyrim was on that list.
Him being on the list means that they intended to capture him during the raid and execute him after, not just that he has a past.

I hadn't really thought of Lokir's place in the greater world. Why isn't there a house, or shack, or a blanket stretched over a couple of sticks back in Rorikstead that he could've called home? Why isn't there someone in Rorikstead who might wonder aloud what happened to Lokir, and perhaps offer the Dragonborn the opportunity to inform the next of kin?

It's really kind of disappointing. Just another missed opportunity I guess.

How many horses do you have to steal to be executed anyways? Seems rather harsh, poor lokir.

We all know the answer to that... 11/11/11!

"Because he's the horse thief that Skyrim deserves, but not the one it needs right now... and so we'll hunt him... because he can take it... because he's not a hero... he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... a Dark Knight..."
