If I had to pick one screenshot it would be this

http://images.uesp.net/8/83/SR-prerelease-DragonRoar.jpg

Just look at the dragon.... seems more high textured than the one from the gameplay videos

Edit: but the shadow on the bottom right wing doesn't look god hmmmm doubtful

1,4,5,6 for sure.

I wonder what settings the the game was set at when the screen-shots was taken.

The mountains are definitely beautiful! I can't tell if the first one is concept art or actual in-game footage. I'm inclined to think that it's concept art. I think Skyrim looks pretty good but not that good. Other than that, I guess my untrained eyes can't really see any difference. :shakehead:

It's a composite of screenshots. Not sure if PC or console screenies, but looks very nice nonetheless. It does look a bit unreal though (but in a good way), and I think that's why a lot of people think it looks like concept art :P

Yes, it's 1600x900 - impossible for Xbox to render it.

In http://images.uesp.net/4/4e/SR-ForestHunt_wLegal.jpg we have antialiased grass. I'm completely ignorant on XBOX capabilities, does it supports FSAA?

Wait a tick.

I've seen every screenshot I can think of, and none of them really looked impressive. So one of them was the PC version?

Hmmm.... Well, this'll just be one of those games were looks aren't everything; hopefully the adventure and story can pickup the visual slack.

1280x720 or around 1100-something by 720.

There are a couple of games that the Xbox can render at 1080p, but it is extremely unlikely that Skyrim would be one of those.

I just hope pete is wrong, i mean i have seen all the screenshots, ALL of them, and the graphics are average to below average. Now as for race preset screens, they could be from the pc, they looked really great, a lot of detail in the faces. But im convinced none of the in game screenshots were from the pc.

Only thing with this that somewhat bugs me is that its LOD seems pretty short.. But then again if it is PC, its ment to look like consoles right? This is fairly annoying..

So that means if I find screens from just the official site that has higher res than that, it is likely from PC? Whoa

They are NOT below average or even average. They look good, not the best, but they look good. Stop...

What about that image leads you to believe that the LOD distance is short?

yes, although some have proposed that the mountain landscape image is a composite.

However, I think it was taken on PC, because the resolution is 3580x1000, which I can only guess was rendered on dual 1080p monitors and then cropped.

1920x1080 x 2 monitors = 3840x1080 (cropped to 3580x1000)

Since the vertical resolution is 1000p, it is impossible for it to have been rendered on Xbox (max 720p vertical resolution). Even if it were a composite of multiple Xbox screens, the vertical resolution would not be greater than 720p.

I have a hunch that PC gamers are going to be disappointed if you're taking the statement that the game will look MUCH better on PC.

Comparing the game to the best we've seen on PC's today, I'm expecting Skyrim to come in at a solid 6 out of 10. I think what Skyrim has to offer is the large world and the adventure. Anyone expecting to be wowed by the graphics is probably going to be very disappointed.
