They are NOT below average or even average. They look good, not the best, but they look good. Stop...

if you think those graphics are good you have low standards. im not complaining about how the game actually looks if you know what i mean, but its low res, which makes me think all in game screens are console. and if some turn out to be from pc im not even going to care, i dont play games for theyre graphics.

No, I don't. Again, it doesn't have the best graphics but it still has good graphics. I do recognize the lower resolution, in some screenshots. To say ALL are bad is a massive overstatement. My guess is that the PC resolution will look better than the consoles, however, the console's will probably still look good too.

You realize that looking at screenshots of a game often has a lower resolution that what it actually puts out? If you go back to see a bunch of the screenshots, you can notably see a resolution difference in some of screenshots compared to others.

I'm thinking if anything was PC it was the pre-generated character heads.. They all have a sheen about them that makes the faces look kind of greasy or wet. I don't think that will be an effect that you'll get on the consoles.. I could be wrong.

there are only a couple of games the Xbox can render in 1080p. The vast majority are limited to around 1280x720 max resolution.

It is extremely unlikely that Skyrim would be one of the 1080p Xbox games.

1280x720 or around 1100-something by 720.

There are a couple of games that the Xbox can render at 1080p, but it is extremely unlikely that Skyrim would be one of those.

Okay, I went to the official site and all the screens except http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2011/08/24/the-races-and-faces-of-skyrim/ and http://cdnstatic.gamesas.com/akqacms/files/tes/screenshots/CompositeMountain_wLegal.jpg were the 360 res (1280x720)

To check just 'view image', right click 'view image info' and then a window pops up and the numbers with NO parentheses is the resolution.

PC images perhaps? :ninja:

This.

Was anyone unaware that the Xbox 360 S (slim) models can go in 720p, 1080p, and 1080i?

All the 360 games are native 720p. The console just upscales to 1080p. Just like how it upscales DVDs to 720p. It's not true 1080 ;)

The portrait images are just groups of twenty pre-renders put together, not single screenshots.

Well, I think we can pretty safely bet that these are PC screens due to their resolutions

Also, on that last screenshot, it feels as if it would definitely require a PC console command to be able to get such a viewpoint.

Personally, I also think this very much look like a PC screen (despite being 1280 x 720: http://cdnstatic.gamesas.com/akqacms/files/tes/screenshots/DraugrCrypt02_wLegal.jpg
Shadows look higher res, don't see much jaggies, textures look pretty hi-res.
All signs of a PC version.

PC screens on medium quality setting, i bet ;)

I honestly don't mind. The mods will make it glorious. that should be enough for anyone.

These were speculated to be PC screens when they were released.

i think they were the ones released a while back that showed really good textures on some of the weapons. there were some threads on it as well where people were asking if they were PC screens or not because when you compared them to some of the weapon textures on other screens you could see some difference although its hard because they were different weapons and lighting and all that changes.

if indeed people cant tell the difference between PC and console screenshots that does not bode well for PC gamers. aside from the obvious things like higher resolution and better textures you should have better AA and AF as well. to bad there is only so much you can gleen from screenshots.....what we need is PC footage to compare to console footage then it will be instantly recognizable with no jaggies and clearer ground textures etc.

But... a few of those are from the trailer. Wasn't that confirmed to be 360 footage?

I'm thinking if anything was PC it was the pre-generated character heads.. They all have a sheen about them that makes the faces look kind of greasy or wet. I don't think that will be an effect that you'll get on the consoles.. I could be wrong.

The Khajiit whiskers were VERY aliased. If they were PC shots, they had AA off.

I totally bet that awesome shot of the mountains was on PC. I thought it from the start, that's PC. Then they said all screens were from 360, and I was like 'Lol no way.'

That explains the high-res screenshots...

I don't want to sound a [censored], but that mountain screen, seems too awesome for skyrim. I mean, it would be awesome, but....they already said that they didn't wanted too much difference between versions just higher resolutions, and that photo seems a little touched or with a complete use of light and clouds....don't know, hope im wrong, im not saying that's not a PC screen anyway, im saying that...its to awesome for believing it to be the standard of the PC graphics of a game designed for XBOX.
