LOL Video games Preparing Kids For The Apocalypse

Post » Tue Sep 21, 2010 2:34 pm

I found this clip on you tube and found it funny. So now video games aren't causing people to be violent and going postal but are preparing us for the apocalypse... Its an outrage! LOL

"Fallout 3 has taught my son charlie its easier to kill a cyborg with a grenade than a machine gun"

Yup a skill every person must know when they survive a nuclear war how to kill cyborgs oh nos skynet! I think watching the terminator well teach her son better on how to kill post apocalyptic cyborgs. There wasn't even cyborgs in fallout 3!

It saddens me that we live in a world where people take life so seriously that they can't spot the obvious satire of the Onion :(

I wish that was legit. Then, whenever someone complained that I should be doing something actually productive and not playing video games, I could just go "Dude, I'm preparing myself for the apocalypse. This is important!"

I'm prepared I've played enough hours of fallout1/2/3/NV to know how to survive the apocalypse. I've learned the best way to survive is to go out and kill raiders and loot their stuff that's a valuable lesson. Fallout 3 taught me that it's okay to go and dig up live landminds for strangers. You never know when you may need to dig up a live land mind for a crazy woman in the post apocalypse. Also a good valuable lesson that you need to know during the apocalypse is the more you kill the more bullets you can take.

Harkness was a cyborg. Plus you could also technically become one with the perk. :whisper:

I lol'ed, "whats important is that we teach our children the fundamentals now, so they may be successful in whatever nightmare scenario that they may find themselves in".
"well if they survive that long".

Oh yeah... so I guess its best that if you become a cyborg its best to kill yourself with a grenade? Hmmm I wonder if its easier to kill harkness with a grenade or a machine gun.

For the record, my favourite line is "...or finding drinking water by collecting the morning dew in human skulls..."

You'll never know when you need to conserve ammo when facing an army of T-1000's, it's better to know how to deal with them now then later when ammo's in short supply :gun: ..

Well, when you have people watching Fox News to get the daily "news", it doesn't surprise me :P

When you put this next to the CDC's real (albeit tongue-in-cheek) Zombie Apocalypse warning, this kind of news report seems more and more likely all the time.
Look at all the hype and news space that the END OF THE WORLD 05/21 talk got.
Those newscasters oughta spend more time in NY, where I still see hokerrs wandering around with THE END IS NIGH signs.... Mebbe they could be interviewed too.

Still think watching the terminator is more suitable for learning about that than fallout 3.

News is actually considered entertainment by law, they can pretty much make stuff up and stretch facts because it is entertainment and not real.
