Post » Tue Sep 14, 2010 11:33 am

damn recession....looks like another modeler disappears...just like vash.

well. thats the bad side of capitalism. (look on the bright side. only the strong compainies will survive. and the world will try to prevent this in the future). no matter that it still svcks that you have to move out of your huose. (a quick question: do you live in the USA?)

I... uh... wow...

Words can't describe the awesomeness of those two armors. A fitting apparel for a true "Lone Wanderer."
I can't wait to try them out. *applauds*

here in holland it isn't that bad. mainly because people gain money from the goverment (een uitkering). so the cann still live and look for a new job.

An idea. Lose one sleeve, preferably the one where the pipboy is, add a glove on the other hand, and you have the best and the most fitting look for a wasteland bloke.

But I see you ain't gonna finish it any time soon given your situation...

Release it as it is, I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to finish it for you. Oh and it does not matter how many take it up, it still belongs to you and each eventual version should have your name on it, assuming the ones who actually pick it up have a trace of dignity.

Would be a pity to let this go. It's one in a thousand, one proper wastelander suit next to a thousand latex suits that befit a six shop or a fun party.

if he ever gets back, i suggest that he takes up a job in 3d modeling, that model is better then some of besthesdas own, im sure he could get a job in a good game company if he wanted too...........then again if hes in school then for now he could sell the armors model to a game called 'rage' itd fit just right, im not sure when rage comes out, then he could release it as a modders recource after, therefore getting money, and giving it free to us after he has done so(sorry if im off-topic)

best of luck whatever-your-name-is, hope you find some spare time eventaully, and about the rigging......im not sure how to do it, but i replace the niftrishape/niftristrip data blocks with my own there fore changing the looks but keeping the animation, ive only tested it with weapons though, as for meatcaps i think you put them on as seperate from your model, as in over it, and the limbs between are controlled by nodes

once again i never really published anything complex like that, just advice if you get a oppertunity to work on it

Having not heard anything recently... is it safe to assume that nobody (who knows what they are doing - ie, not me) is working on the rigging and such of this? :( :(

Actually, http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=204178&view=findpost&p=1912846...

I was looking through the forums after a long pause from modding, and your bump came just at the right time. I've only put in about a days work (a few hours really, if you don't count reinstalling all the necessary software), so there a bit more to do.
It's amazing how much you forget after a few months!
