No, not really.

Courier did all the muscle job even during the end, wheter LW just stood behind Optimus Prime, waiting for him to finish the it. Not my definition of epic.

Also, please refer to my first post:

Are we comparing game mechanics? Courier would win. Crappy non armor-piercing rounds and simple lasers just won't punch through the NV damage threshold.
Or maybe from the logic viewpoint? Well, the Courier seems to be MUCH more experienced in the dangerous wasteland(which is probably expected when you are doing this sort of work in a postapo-world).

Or bad-assesness(is that even a word?)? Neither of them. The Chosen One would whoop their asses in no time. C'mon, skills above 150%, porm star Champion title, Made man, Frank Horrigan slayer....

The Lone Wanderer is so epic that he can kill the courier with a bb gun.And hes also fast like a cheetah. :rock:

A bb gun can't pierce his dt

Choosen one would win with his combanation of dr and dt and his advanced power armor mk 2(strongest armor in fallout 2) and his pulse rifle

Lone Wanderer butchered Talon Company Mercenaries, EVERY Vault 87 Supermutant, all of the slavers in the Capital Wasteland, slaughtered the Enclave in the Capital Wasteland, and sacrficed himself at Project Purity (Or atleast was willing to if Broken Steel is canon).

The Courier got shot in the head, either worked with the NCR, Legion, House, or Yes Man, persuaded the Boomers to help him, saved or blew up the Brotherhood of Steel, fought in the Second Battle for the Hoover Dam, and killed the legendary Legate Lanius.

I'm going to have to say the Lone Wanderer because, although the Courier had many great achievment, did a ton of amazing things on his own. I could picture a future game with all of the main characters in the past games being legends or heroes (depending on if historians write about them).

Lone wanderer because the Lone Wanderer has survived the Enclave, supermutants, raiders and a WAY more hostile environment in general. He/she also defeated the Enclave, defeated alien abductors and took control of thier mothership, fought a war in Anchorage Alaska, toppled (or aided) the largest slaving organization's leader Ashur. To put it in perspective the lone wanderer leaves the vault at 19 and before he reaches 20 destroys the Enclave and becomes an honorary member of the BOS.

Pretty much why I don't like him. He's not human. He accoplishes more than anything else as a 19-year-old brat with daddy issues that has only ever fired a BB gun in his life... that is pretty much me, minus the daddy issues. So why can't I? Actually, if I enlist, will my enemies be as easy to kill as in FO3?

The Courier would win. The Courier has Remnants Power Armor, the Automatic Rifle, This Machine, the Plasma Caster, higher level, DT, etc.

As a whole, the Courier has better armor and better weapons.

This. The lone wanderer has no chance. Also the courier has specialty rounds.

Agreed, the Lone Wanderer was too much of a Gary Stu/Mary Sue. The protagonists of Fallout need to be more down to earth... hah, get it? Down to earth? Mothership Zeta?............................... Uh, nevermind.

And the Courier woke up with his clothes missing in a small town after almost getting killed by some random idiot, then he just said, "I'll help these people........... Or these people." He didn't really accomplish as much as the Lone Wanderer, and Talonfire I got the joke.

Exactly.

The Courier worked his way up from literally *nothing* and ended up changing the Mojave and Vegas one way or another as opposed to being picked up by a bunch of armored do-gooders and "off to the epic ~~generic evil goon~~ enclave slaughter!"

Then it's a fault of the game narrating. The Courier isn't exactly spoonfed after he gets shot into the head. You walk away from the road, you get [censored] by Radscorpions.

And even that is a gameplay factor in my opinion, I am just debating the most logical "better protagonist".
