Lonesome Road master?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 1:16 am

Attention, my fellow forum friends! I, the Divide, have just completed Lonesome Road on hardcoe Mode while also on Very Hard. Yes, yes. I know, it's ridiculous.

As soon as I exited Doc Mitchell's house, I headed straight to Canyon Wreckage. All I had with me was the Courier's Stash stuff. Anyways, I started it, and I never turned back. I am now a level 11. I sided with Ulysses, and am 7 Warheads away from "Warhead Hunter".

I'd like to know: what was the coolest thing anybody has ever done on Fallout: New Vegas or Fallout 3?

I don't think anybody has done anything as cool as what you have done.

I used my silenced sniper rifle to pop the head off of an NCR Soldier with a sneak critical shot. It wasn't anything special, but it was cool...so I kept on killing the other soldiers with him.

Not the coolest, but the only thing I can think of right now:

I went into Dead Wind Cavern with a Riot Shotgun, 200 4/0 buck magnum rounds, the Shotgun Surgeon perk and the And Stay Back! perk. A little ways into the cave it starts to turn downwards, I wasn't trying to sneak through so I saw tons of Deathclaws, including the Mother, running up at me. I kept on firing and didn't get a scratch on me. I walked over the pile of Deathclaw corpses at the bottom of the incline, there must have been at least a dozen of them. I have never cleared that cave so easily.

Hm, well in FO3 I gave myself an Alien (The Cap. of that annoying ship.) partner to follow me around. I killed him later on, mainly due to his voice being.. annoying.

In FONV, I would have to say the same thing you have done. Much much more of a challenge than Dead Money or Old World Blues was.

Have you tried it with a rolling pin?

It is one of the most, awarding victories from a fight I have ever seen.

Just don't try it on a DID charter..

I must say, Congratulations!!
Making it through The Divide is quite a feat, let alone not dying.

I went into dead wind cavern with ED-E, we killed all of the deathclaws except for one: The legendary Deathclaw, ED-E was then killed by the legendary deathclaw then he turned to me I was cornered, I equiped the Unique Gauss rifle (you think I'm going to remember the name?) and just before he hits me I fire, as the smoke clears, I see the legendary deathclaws corpse, high in the air, slowly drifting towards the ground. It was also my final kill before I reached the level cap.

I plan on heading back to the Divide, once I finish my 2nd straight playthrough of DM. It just has such an amazing story I had to play it again.
Anywho, by the time I make my way back to the Divide, I'll definitely be at lvl 50.... With all skills at 100. Even with all that, I doubt I'll be able to make it through without dying.
I believe I left right before you enter the "Collapsed Tunnel", or somthing like that. It's where all those pesky tunnel rat/ creepy ass bug eyed weirdos live. Even with a Riot shot gun with 4ot buck rounds, those things are still a pain in the ass.

Coolest thing was probably putting on some PA and cleaning out Freeside/the sewers/the strip/alot of NCR outposts with a minugun and piles and piles of ammo ......
