Lonesome Road: The Currier's Home

Post » Mon Aug 12, 2013 5:36 am

I played through “Lonesome Road” for the first and I am still perplexed about the role Currier six had in destroying the Big Divide? All I got out of it was that he (or she) brought something there---perhaps a bomb. Ulysses also kept referring to the Big Divide as the Currier’s home. Am I to assume that it is somehow related to Samuel Taylor Coleridge's “Rime of the Ancient Mariner?” Or, is it just another intended uncertain metaphor? The question I raise is this: "Did he or she ever actually live there? Is that really where the Currier's from?" What do you think?

1. It's Courier.

2. It's referred to as the Courier's home because they were responsible for the growth of the town their by bringing packages.

Pardon my misspelling. It's still early here in Oregon.

Your interpretation depends on how your interpreate Ulysses. Is he being entirely honest and open with you, or is he someone who recently suffered a great deal of trauma and has a propencity to exagerate, rationalize and distort recent events?
