Lonesome Road. What are the reasons?

Post » Mon Aug 15, 2011 3:10 am

I am curious about two things.

"What is Ulysses's reason for luring the Courier to the Divide?"
and
"Why was the DLC delayed"
These are simple questions, yet nobody has outright asked them, just made speculations or assumptions.

The reason as we understand it is that The Courier did something to impact Ulysses in such a way that it drove him to obsession with getting answers.

The reason for the DLC 'Lonesome Road' being delayed has not been explicitely stated, but Jason Bergman has said specifically that the matter was an action out of Bethesda and Obsidian's hands and they are working as hard as possible to push Lonesome Road out.

No one has solid information and the ones who do can't share it

Well then you're in for a hot cup of disappointment. Bethesda hasn't released anything but that answer, and likely won't release anymore anytime soon. That's about the only solid information you're getting at this point in time.

I would rather recieve disappointment than assumptions or speculations,
I would rather take a painful truth than a pleasnt lie.
I will always seek out cause and reasons,
as there is always hope when we try.

Not sure what you want anybody to tell you, at this point if you've been paying any attention at all you know just as much as we do.

Just hope, that maybe someone like Jason Bergman or someone else who knows what is going on might give an answer. A slim chance is better than none, after all, and Playing a bad hand can still net you a jackpot.

I'm guessing that they couldn't release it at the same time on all three platforms at the promised date due to MS or Sony being, eh, MS and Sony.

But who cares. Noone has paid for it yet.

It's obvious that Bethesda have changed the release for something to do with another product on the Market or something that they think will hinder LR's sales. No big conspiracy. Or that Sony or Microsoft are wanting the release date changed. Atleast this gives obsidian time to do more bug checking.

I can live with the delay, and I hope they are taking advantage of it now and bug testing the crap out of it. Also is there any news of another game update before LR drops?
