Lonesome Road won't be released this month. Thread #2

Post » Thu Aug 11, 2011 1:06 pm

Yeah, though I don't think that selling Saints Row 2 would rake in the money.

Dude shut up, I love me my SR T_T

@ Deathclaw- I have like 12 games or so, I'd lose about 3-4 just to get one DLC, no thanks >_>

If I acted shocked and/or surprised to hear this news, it would be just that - an act. This is what happened with previous DLC packs... not pinning all the blame on Bergman, but he would go onto assure a release date/schedule, then wouldn't live up to it. Then about a week and a half ago, he assured us an August release for Lonesome Road and called everyone "paranoid" for thinking otherwise/doubting Bethesda and Obsidian.

Well, can you blame us for the paranoia with your track record, Beth/sidian? I love you guys (mainly Bethesda, Obsidian not so much) but I thank God, time and again, that id is handling R.A.G.E 'cuz it means it'll get done, lol.

That said, the delay was anything but unforeseen. It could have been written in stone, notarized by the President of the United States, dipped in bronze and passed out to every man, woman and child... and the Bethblog would still show up a week or two later and write "delayed, ttyl!" I'll still buy it, as I still want to see what happens in it (even though it would be better if it acted out like Broken Steel and extended the life of the game and got rid of the definitive ending (in an open world RPG, no less).

One part of me is glad that it got delayed just because I probably wouldn't have the money this month to get Lonesome Road. The other side of me is disappointed that I have to wait another month to get it.

I didn't pick the screen that got released. There are definitely more interesting ones that are ready to come out, but it's up to marketing to release them.

I don't mean to be rude Mr. Bergman, but you guys have a a pretty [censored] marketing department  I mean who posts achievements before announcing a release date?

Obsidian didn't post any achievements, Steam accidentally uploaded them early.

Just like last month, and I'm not in the slightest surprised, but I certainly am reminded just how much many of my fellow forumites are immature [censored] little babies.

If only "Marketing" had an active account...

I laughed my @ss off when I read this on IGN. A few weeks ago I said definitely September (even though Bethesda stated August for sure). Bethesda never releases anything on time, why start now? Oh well, gives me time to play Deus Ex and Madden 12. Thanks Bethesda!

I'm just hoping that the delay is because of the next patch which will fix Boone's No Headtracking glitch and the glitch that doesn't return companion weapons when leaving the Gomorrah. There are a few other big glitches that need fixing but I remember those two at the moment. Thanks, Jason, really hope this is the reason.

Nope, this is out of Bethesda and Obsidians hands. It's someone elses fault, but they wont say.

There isn gonna be a Broken Steel For New Vegas, the games end after the Battle at Hoover Dam

Bit OffT here but I felt the need to answer your signiture - erm, a lot of people DIED at the end of 3 and the game still found a way to carry on when BS was released. So hows about we don't make assumptions.

OnT, I can't believe people are still baww'ing over this.

And never will, this has been confirmed months before the game was even released.

I'm not arguing with anyone, I'm just saying it seems silly to assume. I get the impression nothing to do with game design is ever set in stone.

EDIT:: Mako, your signiture's awesome. True to paycheck indeed.
