Indeed, Firefox and NoScript (and knowing/learning how to use that addon properly) ftw. AdBlock Plus is another favourite of mine, though I disable it for (things like) fan-run sites that need the revenue. Also, antivirus and anti-malware, with updates and regular checks. One that will stay resident is nice too, like http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ for example. Malwarebytes' Antimalware is also worth a look. But there are plenty of options.
Make sure you have a firewall of some kind in place too (most people do, even if it's just Windows Firewall and/or their DSL modem). And that Windows itself is fully updated.
edit: I just went to the site, and explored (haha) its various sections, with Internet Explorer, accepting all cookies that came its way, and even turned off its pop up blocker. There are no addons in place, nothing beyond default IE. And nothing came up, no popups, no virus warnings, nothing.
