In my sig: he was levelling up in the process so I doubt that distance is achievable by him now that he's level 50. We shall see.

Right now I have a level 50 that is on 10 days and 12 hours and still has 6 radaways and 14 stimpacks.

High HP is key, since a stimpak heals about 50% of a dweller's max HP. This means you would have had to train them up in endurance first, then send them to level up in the wasteland.

How do you guys get them to last so long? My guys are max experience and max in ALL SPECIAL stats, I send them out with weapons of 22+ damage and in various types of top end clothing, max stimpacks and max radaways. Yet they usually only last 5-6 days. What am I doing wrong?

Hmm no idea how you do that, I have trained level 1 dwellers in Endurance 1st, then maxed stats, legendary rocket launcher (20-23), Soldier gear (S2, E2, L1) and sent them out.

Trouserfly, you want to send them out at Level 1, every time they level up they heal 100% of health, so they don't use any stim packs for the 1st day and a half.

Sorry so say but I do not believe you have a dweller out on 10 days with 14 stim packs left, I have no less than 25 dwellers out at a time, all max stat, max gear, both level 1s and level 50's and none come close (i now have up to 5 days out), so unless you are modding it that is not possible.

I will agree that the 10-day dweller is bogus, unless it's a hacked dweller with extra stimpacks and/or above max SPECIAL and HP.

The MOST health a dweller can have is 644: trained at level 1 to 10 endurance, outfitted with Heavy Wasteland Gear (+7 endurance) and levelled to 50.

The BEST outfit to wear is up for debate, but you'd want one with at least +1 endurance so you won't take radiation damage. Really, anything over +1 endurance is wasted, so that leaves the following outfits:

Scribe Rothchild's Robe: +2P, +1E, +2C, +2I

Tunnel Snakes Outfit: +2P, +1E, +2C, +2A

X01 MK VI Power Armor: +5S, +1P, +1E

And if +2 is okay:

Autumn's Uniform: +2S, +2P, +2E, +1C

Bittercup's Outfit: +2S, +2P, +2E, +1C

Confessor Cromwell's Rags: +2P, +2E, +1I, +2L

Even if you won every single encounter, you're still going to take more than 42 damage/hr which puts you at a little over 8 days with 25 stimpacks. I'm pretty sure that you will take more than 42 damage per hour since the best I've managed so far is about 60/hr. I am getting ready to test a MAX HP dweller right now.

Hey guys,

I dont know how this could have happened, but I have got a huge bug in my game. And its a lucky one for me!

I havent been playing for about 3 months because the game crashed everytine when i tried to log in. After the updates I logged in 2 days ago because i wanted to play again. Ive sent 5 guys out in the waste before the update, but they didnt die. So now ive 69 days in the waste.

The funny thing is that they dont get any damage anymore because i dont have enemies around me. And they find rare stuff every 1.5 hours and lots of money, too. I dont know how to upload pictures but i will try to do it :D

Do you know how this could have happened? Did this happen to anyone else?

My longest is about 40 hours so far. Though I've only reached the point of 60 dwellers once. My current vault is at 56 and I'm currently rotating about 6-7 characters as my wasteland explorers. When I have a few out exploring, the other ones are either returning or training.

I think I'm going to try and max out their stats and use the Sturdy Wasteland Gear which is a straight +5 End.

Leave him there until you have 1000 caps. You'll be fine, and you'll net a profit in the long run. A small run, but it'll net in the positive. Wasteland explorers almost always worth reviving. Right now I have 5 out there and collectively they'll earn me about 16,000 caps.

Do they actually get more gear or better after a certain point? I'm capped out on caps at this point, so keeping them out there for caps is pointless. I have a bunch of maxxed SPECIAL explorers out, and still haven't picked up any +7 gear. Nearly all were level 1 with 10 on all stats and the best endurance gear I had when I first sent them out.

The only chance to get legendary gear in the wasteland is from the National Guard Depot at 2 1/2 days (60 hours). There's about a 10% chance you'll get one.

I guess you get the time glitch legendary at 4-6 minutes but there's no way to know if that will happen or not.

The longer a dweller is out there, the better the chance is to get a rare every hour, but it could be a rare .32 pistol as easily as it could be a rare flamethrower.

When I left fallout shelter for a long time, when I came back to it I saw the weirdest thing in the game, my 5 dwellers have been exploring the wasteland fo approximately 42 days, they were not dead, still had some stimpacks and radaways (every one of them had a lot of rares on themselves). So... beat that guys. (And I don't think that was a bug, that was definitely a feature)

(Also dwellers can't find legendary items in the wasteland)
