Lonsome road Speculation

Post » Mon Jul 25, 2011 5:18 pm

So we more or less know what the story will be but my question is this: both old world blues and Honest Hearts were postponed for them to focus on releasing an update, so do you think they will wait a till september or october to release LR so they can do another update? I could be wrong, but I think that the last patch fixed the majority of remaining bugs, so other than a small one for any bugs in OWB (which I ran into very few of if any, so I think it might not be bad) and for the pre-LR update I don't think theres much left for them to patch. If were lucky, most of the fixable bugs have been fixed and we'll get LR within a month, maybe two. Whats everyone elses thoughts? Are their far more bugs left than I thought?

My guess is that it will be mid to late August. September would just be a slap in the face. And I would still buy it...

I wouldn't mind waiting until September, seeing how Old World Blues was a disaster when it released.

Since when was Old World Blues a disaster? There were just a few bugs and major framerate drops near the Sink.

Actually I was more curious as to if they would do a patch (which would delay the DLC) or not. I figured this thread could also be for speculation about the DLC in general. I didn't want it to turn into anther "when's it coming out even though it's been less than a week since the last one" thread.

Quite a few people experienced crashes at the Satellite after activating it.

If I can't even enter the DLC, that's bad.

They could release LR in December if they did a better job at patching the game than they did in FO3. After all the patches it still crashes more often than most my other games. FNV has some problems that really annoy me and haven't been fixed so far (VATS is buggy, I get stuck in rocks from time to time, get very low fps in some areas...)

What I find a little amusing is that despite all the bad glitches in this game I think the worse game with glitches I've played that was made in the last decade would be bulletstorm. The AI glitched so badly that restaring the console or a checkpoint couldn't fix him. I had to restart the entire level because it was that bad. I've ran into a LOT of glitched there. Its pretty sad IMO, because it was released MONTHS ago and clearly hasn't been patched. Plus a game as big as Fallout has SOME excuse to be buggy since its so big, but bulletstorm is short and linear!

LOL Me too.......

I think they messed the game up again with the last patch, so the may be getting out the people who work on fps, and freezing again.

Thats all I ever care about, and they had that pretty good with the patch before HH. Then they wanted to fix more, but I got bad fps drop in ps3, and some 360 users are saying its crashing again.

PC its too hard to tell with all the different set ups, and also the PC owner has alot to do with it too.

...It was? The only glitch I got was an invisible door in the DNA splicing station...

I really doubt they would release any later than very early september. Because then it gives them less time to release the ultimate edition. Some people will be like "Lonesome Road came out in October, the ultimate edition is in December, screw that I'll just wait for the Ultimate edition and get all the DLC for a cheap price."

This.
They need to release LR as soon as possible. Pretty damn sure Bethesda is trying to push Obsidian for the GOTY edition to be released by Christmas quarter.

personally I am expecting it before November, before the release of Skyrim...but I am wondering if this is the last DLC for FNV and what will happened after this one?...will Bethesda start working maybe on Fallout 4 or on some definitely ending for FNV... :hubbahubba:

I hate to sound like a broken record, but Bethesda did not make this game, they just published it. Obsidian developed the game. As for Fallout 4, I'm dead certain that Bethesda is making it as we speak, maybe in cahoots with Obsidian too.

It wasn't buggy for me, although it froze while talking to the think tank at the beginning twice.

I think Septemberish.

I've been meaning to get that record fixed.
