Look At The Muscles On You!

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 12:49 am

So, with the new and improved customization system for our characters, i was just wondering, what will your character look like exactly... for example, are you a gal or a guy, what colour eyes has your character got, has he even got eyes, or missing eyes? Hair, rugged or posh or otherwise, size, are you a lanky farmer or a huge muscled general orc, what tatoos and scars do you have, do you have all your teeth nice and pristine or were some knocked out in a drunken fight, i want to know what your character will look like from head to toe, and even how it links to your backstory, does your tattoo link you to some sort of clan when you lived in whereever, is there an explanation to that funny looking scar on your nose? Tell me what you looked like and if it connects to your characters past.

I'll probably try to create a disheveled looking young Bosmer chap. Very short, very skinny, not particularly attractive. :3

I'll create ME to the best of my ability. Nord, just under 6 feet, almost black hair, blue eyes, and skilled in stealth. That's basically me.

I hope you can place scars virtually anywhere on your face like a decal system, and not just in a few pre-set locations. The slash on our beloved http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/3927/baldguy.jpg looks kind of overlaid, so I wouldn't be surprised if we could place them wherever we wanted. Based on combat archetype, my coinflip will determine if I'm going to play as a guy that sneaks around the whole time and try and stab lungs, or if I'll sprint in with a giant polearm or 2 handed axe while unleashing a blood-curdling scream while trying to smash and chop the poor sod into worm food. If it's the former, a short guy with a small frame, if the latter, a big, meaty guy that looks like he would eat the barman as soon as order a drink.

Differently enough, im hoping there is a pre-set location thing instead of a decal system, i think if they are pre-set then more work will be put into the ones they put in (which would hopefully be quite alot, and we can pick as many from them as we want to place on our character) they would look more realistic, like the skin has actually been cut into.. i actually loved Brinks scar system, except for only being to choose one type of scar for a character at a time, the different scars were really quite creative, and i hope this will be the same for Skyrim. If there is a decal system, it will just remind me of the awful tattoo and scar system of WWE games... im also hoping we can place scars on our body.

Since i have started this post i might as well answer my own thread.
My character will be a Nord viking-esque 2 handed and 1 handed weapon character (think the guy in the trailers but without a helmet, i prefer to play without helmets), he will be the strong silent badass looking type, i dont really think he will have any scars on his face, i will have to see what they look like, but he will have big three or four clawed scrath along my back or front. He will have these distinguishable scars as he was raised by wolves on a snowy mountain in Skyrim, where he would fight with his wolf brothers and sisters and when he grew up he fought large predators like bears that wished to attack his family. This is only a basic start of my backstory, i have some EPIC ideas which i dont really want to spill on the forums incase of people who dont think of thier own backstories and steal other peoples copy it ??

Well i`ll be using khajiit straight off, so i`m going to say a long mane because it disrespects the leader of the khajiit culture, The mane, because my character is an outsider. skilled in blade, marksman and stealth and a member of the DB. Also a scar down one arm from a run in with an ogre. I`m going to say no helmet with a DB cuirass if at all possible. Oh and red eyes if its in game.

My two Imperial characters.

Kraven: Male, long black hair. Built muscular but not overly bulky. He will have hazel eyes and will run around without his shirt.

Veronica: Female, long blond hair. Lithe and strong. She will have golden eyes or honey colored eyes.

That definitely serves to emphasize how much faces have come from Oblivion (And also puts into perspective how dated Oblivion's character models look now.)

But as much as I'd like to post what my first character will look like, I honestly don't know yet, I expect I'll play either a Khajiit, Argonian, or orc, because I like those races, but beyond that I'm not sure, will I be male or female? Will I be young or old? What sort of features will I choose? That depends a lot on what I feel like doing when I actually get my hands on the game, and even once I've come up with my basic character concept, I'll probably need to mess around with the character creation options for a bit before I can settle on all the details, after all, I don't want to come up with a character I want to create only to find that the game doesn't allow it.

My first character is possibly going to be a big fat Argonian pirate with a scar on his face. Something like this: http://d.facdn.net/art/eto12/1303485453.eto12_f001c1.jpg

I haven't decided yet where he got the face's scar from...

As a lover of reptiles, and Argonians for that matter, I gotta say it would be pretty sick if you could replicate that.

I want to make an Argonian thats as short as possible and somewhat skinny just because.

6 foot 4 inches. Nord Warrior. Long, black hair, bright blue eyes. Hair tied in braids down the side, partial dreadlocks (if possible).
Very lean and muscular, large chest, massive upper body strength. Not too big legs, more lean for running. Big vascular arms, with a large vein going down the middle. Chiseled chin and jaw line.
Yep, that's my Nord. :D

The khajiit and orc looks awesome. I'm glad the females don't look like men anymore based on that screenshot; which reminds me, most of the vanilla females in Oblivion (except for Renault and a few others) were hideous... especially the Altmers.
