Looking for an alchemy mod...

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 10:18 pm

that makes all potions the same (reasonable) weight. I dislike that potion weight is calculated by averaging ingredient weights (makes zero sense to me and is just annoying), but I'm having trouble locating a mod that does just this and doesn't have a lot of other stuff attached to it. I'm sure there must be one somewhere.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25714 is exactly what you're looking for.

There is a wrye bash tweak to do this as well...

As a few have already said, my Lightweight Potions mod was made to do exactly what you asked for :)

There is a wrye bash tweak to do this as well...
...but Lightweight Potions has one very great advantage over Wrye Bash for this:

Whenever you create a new potion, i.e. one that has different effect, value, duration or strength than the one's you've made before, the Wrye Bash feature will not work for this new potion until you save your game, right-click on it in WB's saves tab and chooses "Reweigh Potions", and then loads the savegame again. So effectively, each time you get new alchemy equipment or increases your alchemy skill, WB's tweak will stop working until you do this.

Lightweight Potions, on the other hand, is install and forget, as it takes care of everything for you :)
