Looking for Almalexia Replacer mod...

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:30 am

Won't be long now, or will it... :ninja:

If you would PM me a link to download it, I would be more than happy to use this mod. Lore correctness? People should appreciate that you are taking the time to do this mod, and not making any requests/exigencies like if they were paying you to do it. Release this; I will gladly install it in my computer and put it into my Data Folder permanently, lore be darned.

EDIT - I know it's not available but... this looks so sweet!

She looks really beautiful. The vanilla version is "die, you ugly, crazy hag!" while yours is "'tis a shame I'll have to kill you." :D

(Spoiler note: If anybody reading that thread has not played through Tribunal or been spoiled otherwise, I have only one thing to say: "Rosebud" was the name of his sled.)

Wow, looks like a lot of great progress on all fronts!

@Westly: I'm sure people won't mind, ultimately, if you make Almalexia in the "Westly" style. Your releases are works of art and people will realize it sooner or later and quit their whining.
@Psymoniser: Those shots of Azura look pretty good. I wonder why we never saw a more catlike replacer for Azura? @Westly: Did you ever consider using one of your cat/elf races to make a BB replacer for Azura? It might be pretty cool to see a half Khajiit / half Dunmer Azura with a kick ass body.... Just an idea.

Edit:
I have only one thing to say: "Rosebud" was the name of his sled.

Don't ruin it for the TB virgins, Gez!

A cattish Azura wouldn't be hard. It'd be a simple retexture job on the face and perhaps the body, methinks.

Perhaps she could look like the Khajiit from Arena? http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Khajiit#Sub-species_Notes subspecies, if I'm not mistaken... They have the face-paint.

EDIT: not sure if that is catlike enough...

*Ahem*
I feel the need to point out that this topic is about Almalexia, not Azura ;)
Plus, I'm not sure that a Cattish Azura would be lore friendly; of course, I haven't played enough to see what she actually looks like, and I'm only basing her appearance off of Daggerfall and Oblivion.

It wouldn't be amiss to have a cattish Azura, seeing as how, according to http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/clanmother.shtml, Azurah (as the Khajiit spell it) created the Khajiit.
And Azurah came to her and said, "Poor Nirni, stop your tears. Azurah makes for you a gift of a new people." And Nirni stopped weeping, and Azurah spoke the First Secret to the Moons and they parted and let Azurah pass. And Azurah took the forest people who were torn between man and beast, and she placed them in the best desserts and forests on Nirni. And Azurah in her wisdom made them of many shapes, one for every purpose. And Azurah named them Khajiit and told them her Second Secret and taught them the value of secrets. And Azurah left and spoke the Third Secret to the Lunar Lattice and bound the Khajiit to the Lattice, as is proper for Nirni's secret defenders. Then Azurah spoke the Third Secret again, and the Moons shone down on the marshes and their light became sugar.

Westly, your Almalexia looks great! I hope you will really release this, I don?t understand why this shouldn?t be lore-friendly? What are the arguments for such a standpoint? Well, I for myself can?t wait till I get my hands on your Almalexia :)

Mmm, I don't think so. The Bosmer had the same problem of not having any fixed shape. From what I understand, they got their shape by being bound to the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore%3a%44ictionary_E. When they work themselves up into frenzy, they break the bonds and turn into some pretty scary dudes, as witnessed by the hapless Scotti in A Dance in the Fire. That event is called the Wild Hunt.

From the Words of Clan Mother Ahnissi, and from information about how the Khajiit subspecies depend on the phase of Masser and Secunda, the Khajiit form is tied up into the Lunar Lattice, called the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore%3a%44ictionary_J. Hence, the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Khajiit#Morphology.

So, no, I don't think they are daedra.

Azura did not appear in Oblivion. Only a statue of her does.

In Daggerfall, she looks like a pretty, young and oddly blue-haired Breton girl. Oh, and she's topless. :) In Morrowind, she looks like a stern, middle-aged Dunmer woman. Fully clothed. How she appears therefore depends on where she appears, so you can bet that you get a fuzzy catgirl-Azura in Elsweyr. :P

As for that "are they daedra" nonsense, the Chimer/Dunmer were modified by Daedric intervention too (twice!) as well as the Orcs. They nevertheless aren't Daedra. Unless you go by Mankar's raving where Nirn is the Oblivion realm of Daedric Prince Lorkhan and then everybody is a daedra.

Those are creatures made by Lidicus (though I am not sure what mod will feature
them, else I do not hink that they will be in PL's Creatures :) ).

Brace yourselves, as the next screen takes Almalexia on a departure from what I have shown prior; I present:

Now, mind you, I did try out the original mask mesh (and have a model with the original version
equipped). I just thought I would take more elegant approach while I was at it, showing a white
hot madness in her eyes as well as showing a slight scowl on her face. A HUGE thank you
to Psymoniser, who was able to make the body/torso model asymetric, as well as transferring the
body/dress from the "holy" version to the "warrior" skeleton/animations :) .

Looking fantastic! Did you know the lore Almalexia has fangs? At least her mask does, if I recall correctly. Maybe a nice detail to add. Have you added ears yet? I can't see any. Long, elven ones would look good IMO.

So for mine, I've been playing with some resources from http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=1791, since I'm no good at using NifSkope to set up new body parts - trouble is, the readme said nothing about permissions on the pieces they made, and the Bethesda-made pieces for High ordinator armor are less similar than I previously imagined. Does anyone know if it's kosher for me to tweak the pieces from the Almalexia Project a little, just so I can have pauldrons and a bracer that look right?
