So for mine, I've been playing with some resources from http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=1791, since I'm no good at using NifSkope to set up new body parts - trouble is, the readme said nothing about permissions on the pieces they made, and the Bethesda-made pieces for High ordinator armor are less similar than I previously imagined. Does anyone know if it's kosher for me to tweak the pieces from the Almalexia Project a little, just so I can have pauldrons and a bracer that look right?

I think it would be OK to tweak the items. Several pages back I linked
to Orphier's version of the gear (as they are his meshes mostly, AFAIK).
Oriphier is a real pal when it comes to using his items, so give him a holler to
let him know your intentions (as he likes to know what others are making with
his items ;) ).

@Dragon: :lol:

Ya know, I could make her look like "Ring Tempted Galadriel", eerie blue-green
glow with slight translucency, wild flowing hair, and all that jazz :)

Just chiming in to tell you how wonderful this looks! I would say "I can't wait," but I can. Really. It's like waiting for Christmas morning though, when you're six years old.

Wow Westly! I am stunned by how amazing that looks... I am speechless :touched:

So, this is the warrior version of Almalexia... so we will still get to have the elegant version of her in the temple of Mournhold? Prior to going to Sotha Sil?

Indeed, there are two versions (pics of the "Holy" version are a page or
two back, save that the new version of the Holy Mother is now asymetric :).

Stunning really is the right word. I'm sure the player character would be quite taken aback to be confronted with the Warrior version after speaking numerous times with the Temple version. :)

Nice! :goodjob: I always thought Almalexia looked a bit whacko for someone who was supposed to be beautiful. Will be a definite download!

I wouldn't suppose there's a chance of getting a replacement for the model of Sotha Sil or Hircine? They could use this kind of treatment for sure.

Sotha Sil is more of a "static", what being
Spoiler
dearly departed
, though I like to think
that his conciousness escaped his body and inhabited his precious machines (but that is another
mod entirely :) ). Lingarn did release a creature resource of the static model of Sotha Sil (but it is legless
for the most part). I might take a look and see what can be added to better flesh out Sil as a full creature,
but as he is mostly mechanical, BB might be redundant in the design. As for Hircine, I think his model
looks fine, he might just need a retex (but a BB version of him couldn't hurt, I suppose... :toughninja: ).

To round out my replacer, I have retextured Hopesfire to a higher resolution (though the repaint
stays mostly true to the original design of the initial textures, it does utilise some of the techniques
that I used on her armours to maintain an overall stylistic look).

Great retex!! It looks about a thousand times better! I was wondering if you were using the same hair on both versions of Alma?

Anyway, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/1597-1-1196440060.jpg. I'd like to point out that while it is certainly marginally better than the Sotha Sil we see in the game, it could be made so much better. The armor needs much improvement and the helmet (available in separate mods such as the helmet mod discussed many pages back) could certainly do with a retexture and mesh corrections. IF a Sotha Sil replacer were made, it would replace a dead beat-up looking body (actually a gigantic room spanning static) in the final room of the clockwork city, so it would still need to look like it had been beaten up by a war-crazed premenstrual goddess, but at the same time look better, because the original was messy and boring.

You mean the "Updo" hair; then yes, it is the same style. Initially, I thought about "letting her hair down", but decided against it so that the two models have elements that best relate to one another (like the same pauldron shape, similar assymetric outfit by virtue of the chainmaile sleeve, and of course the hair). I did add a bit more red to the texture on the warrior version (as the "holy" version has a bit more gold/honey tone in the texture).

Her hair is still red, though (just a more "natural" tone for the mother goddess
to work with all of the gold details in the new outfit).

Also, should I make the outfits wearable as well (though I probably know the
answer to this)? If so, then I should make corresponding male versions just to
be fair (though the head gear might prove a dilemma in that the Mask would
have to be hooded to accomodate all races [though beasts will clip though the
face a bit, but it should just look like the mask rests on their snouts/muzzles];
the crown might have to be incorporated into a helm of some sort to also be
more versatile [as not every one can wear an updo with golden ears attached
to the crown]) . Then there is the issue of how to obtain the outfits/armours
(should they be lootable at the end of the final encounter with Almalexia,
hidden in the temple. or just plainly purchaseable at the temple after the
quest is finished).

What to do, what to do...

Making them lootable from Almy's corpse seems the most logical choice. I mean, making them purchasable doesn't make much sense from an in-world perspective. ;)

Exactly. Plus, though I am a role-player, if someone REALLY wants them, just tilde key and "player->additemWestly'sLatestSetOfAwesome" 1

Problem is, though, that the Holy version would only then be lootable if you kill Almalexia when she
is in the temple (thus negating the quest, as well as not having access to the later version). It is a
dilemma, indeed, as I agree with totally logic (having the outfits lootable), but this also applies the
limitations I mentioned (and I want everyone to have access to the outfits if they want them without
disturbing gameplay). I could not make the outfits wearable at all, but then someone would probably
come along afterwards and make them such (wearble), so it is probably best that I go ahead and do
this from my source materials.

Again, decisions, decisions, decisions

Why couldn't you loot both sets from Warrior Almy? She's a creature anyway so it's not like there's a risk of her equipping the wrong stuff -- and if she's not a creature, she'll equip the war stuff nonetheless because it'll have better stats, logically.

As for the "where did she carry all that" factor, the answer is "hammerspace", just like when you unequip everything your character is wearing without dropping anything to the ground. :D

Another alternative, is to have a script place it in the High Chapel after the events of Mournhold, a la Shivering Isles. Maybe a little chest named "Almalexia's Wardrobe"?

This is what I will do, then (so players will have to wait to get their mitts on the gear 'til the final battle :) ).

On a related note, I always though Almalexia should have had a private chamber/area (aside from the main hall of the temple). While certainly all rooms of the temple belonged to her, having private quarters would have been a nice addition for the player after her demise (taking her place and all that jazz :) ).

I agree, this always bugged me. This is also the case with Vivec and Sotha Sil. Though Vivec had is own "room" it wasn't very bedroom-ish. And Sotha Sil just had a workshop. Perhaps the Tribunal's gods are too good for bedrooms?
