This might take just a bit longer for a release on my part, as there has been a death in my family; this means I am going through the motions of that come with such a death, but I will be back as soon as I am able to show progress, as this is something that I love to do, and in turn, share with all of you fantastic people :) .

Sorry to hear about that, I'm not sure what I can say that would be comforting. :( I hope you and your family will be able to pull through okay.

Often it is easy to forget that those posting here actually have real lives of their own along with the ups and downs that come with that. Sorry to hear about the passing in your family. Of course do what you need to to mend yourself and family. We'll be here waiting when you return. Take care.

i hav fixed the foot issue (had to fix the mesh in blender though) for some reason when moving BB files onto lexies file the feet go funny like that (i had the same problem) i tried moving the feet up and down but no success so loaded her up into blender and fiddled with the vertices then noticed a couple of other issues so i went about trying to fix them so shes not altogether BB any more but im not sure if anyone will notice - will post screenshots next week? am also going to add a few extra weapon anims as the original can only use 1 handed weapons

She looks absolutely gorgeous in her Temple form.

When are we gonna see sneak peeks of her warrior form, or is it way too early to ask?

Just so everyone knows, this thread has gone slightly off-topic, from a mod finding thread to a thread encompassing at least two future Almalexia replacers: 1) Westly's and 2) lidicus future Creatures release.

Here's my Almalexia!
I was trying to add dancing animation to her, and here's what she looks like:

She looks really hot, popping and locking like that.

I believe http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=3035 mod also includes an Almalexia replacer, though I haven't tried it.

Anyway, all those shots look great. Slightly OT: Is there any chance of seeing a BB Azura replacer any time soon? http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5590 is great, but it would be nice to see one without the ugly seams, even though it's just for a few seconds of in-game time (besides, I prefer Azura to Almalexia).

Yes please! It can't even be very hard - CanadianIce already made a Better Bodies Azura dress.

Well, I got my hands on some asymmetrical Better Bodies meshes, and I've made a body for Almalexia - no clothes, hair, or head yet, but I had fun with those tattoos:

I had to play with the UV mapping to get the tattoos to display with minimal distortion; is this kosher? The base skin texture is by AnOldFriend (http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=863346&hl=).

Those look pretty good, Plangkye. Just remember that if you go the NPC route, she'll need to be scripted so that she can be soul trapped.

I know. Ideally I'd be able to make a creature version of her, though, so a replacer could be pluginless.

It looks very nice, Plangkye, and you have done a fantastic job with the distortion fix :goodjob: !

The asymmetric Better Bodies meshes haven't been working for her, huh?

Also, I'm very sorry to hear that about your family.

The version I am (was) working on is built on the Almelexia creature model using
basic symetric BB, thus does not use the assymetric mapping (save for the arms).
As I said before, I have a version that supports assymetric mapping (with the tats
in proper alignment and all that jazz), but it does not work on the creature model
(so I could make a race, but most seem to want a creature, so that is where I am
focusing my energies).

I may or may not continue with her (though I do want to finish her). Perhaps I
should let it fall to the shadows for now, to let you wonderful people take
precedence with your fantastic projects. You are doing a really fine job, and
I hope to see you continue such fine work on this :D.

Take Care

At this point, I really just want to make my own vision of Almelexia, as I have been bombarded with e-mails (well perhaps not bombarded, but at least 20 messages), saying how I should do this, no do that, no do this... It can be really overwhelming to know that my own vision would not be supported just beacuse it might not fit into "lore", because the original Almelexia appeared a certain way. That, on top of a heightened emotional state can really bring down one's genuine initial enthusiasm about making something beautiful. This is all I really wanted to do: remake Almelexia in the style of "Westly" and not necessarily in the style of lore. However, should I release such, the headache that would come from the messages that would follow (about how I should make certain changes), is not something I need ATM (to compound my frustrations and shadowed saddness in real-life). Ultimately, I will finish it (for sure), but will probably decline from a release (at least for a little while, 'til the "storm" blows over).

Ah, I wish I could kick those people in the shins! <_<

Although I am a lore-nut, I respect your vision and your artistic license to create Almelexia however you want. :) Constructive criticism is one thing; trying to coerce a modder from changing his or her vision and dream is another (the former is polite and hopefully helpful, while the latter is rude and disrespectful).

Have fun making her, Westly. :tops:

No worries, as many were, in fact polite and constructive (thank you to those,
and I hope you know who you are), but there were several that were a bit too
demanding (like cracking a whip, which is a real put-off. I tell ya what).

I will still proceed with the replacer, but it will be like a thief in the night when she is released;
it will most likely be in he cover of darkness and fall to the fourth page before it is noticed :ninja:

What, are you going to post the release thread under a pseudonym or something? :P

Edit rather than double post: I've played with my Almalexia skin some more, made her more shiny and golden and tweaked the tattoos some more to closer match the shading on Bethesda!Almalexia.

I what way does it not work? I've been working on and off with NifSkope, Max and the Better bodies meshes for a while now so maybe I could take a look at it for you.

PM me if you like.

I like all of the work thats going here, far better than my texture work on her.
