looking for beta testers code reviewers for Trade Routes

Post » Fri Dec 20, 2013 10:58 am

I'm getting ready to release a mod called Trade Routes, which applies regional variations to the price and availability of smithing materials, alchemy ingredients, food and drink. But before I post it publicly, I'm looking for a few folks to give it a bit of testing and make sure there are no obvious bugs.

It's somewhat script-heavy (about 5000 lines of code and 5 minutes of initialization processing; after that it doesn't require much processing during normal play), so besides regular testing to make sure it works correctly as advertised, I'd also welcome any Papyrus gurus to give it a code review. I'm a software developer by trade and I've tried to make it as robust as I know how, but it's my first major Skyrim mod so there may be standard practices that I haven't learned yet.

If you're interested in helping, please post here or send me a private message. I just need to do some final testing of my own and then write up the description of what it's supposed to do and how it's supposed to work, and then I'm hoping to send everything out to testers sometime this weekend.

Thanks in advance for any volunteers!

This is very intriguing - a contender to take the crown from Economics of Skyrim?

Would you mind explaining a little more about these regional variations?
