Hell, I bet that our PC's are at least 10 times more powerful than that 6 year old toaster.

Let me, Let you in on something i own both a ps3 And a nice duel core sli system The crappy ps3 is nothing but a paperweight you cant do anything with it games look horrid compaired to computer All of you that think C2 looks O so sweet, is just because this is your first taste at what games should look like compaired to what junk you've been playing .......Thing is pc players have been playing games that look three times what C2 looks like , So when your lied to and told a game is going to be beautifull and it turns out its crap well you can understand the critisizm On top of that crytec markets in team with nvidia to release a 700 dollar gpu on a game that looks no diffrent on any of the three systems , and in all honesty would prolly run on a cracker jacks box,,,, O did i fail to mention no tweakable settings ......THE WHOLE PC WORLD WAS LIED TO AND WE HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO VOICE OUR DISSENT..........you dont like it go back to marioworld.

You do know we are expecting a patch this week right?
Yeah I'm a little scared don't want to be banned I wonder if this is considered a hack
LOL you really think modding crysis 2 gets you banned? Dude it's just a graphic modding like we did in Crysis 1. Improve the beauty of the game. What kind of input made you think you'd get banned? O.o

Last time I checked things were supposed to improve not get worse. The graphics took a step back. It runs on my pc the same as the first 50 FPS. The physics took a major hit. Less destructible environments. NO MOD TOOLS. No customizable Visual features. The running speed is just like sprinting in real life why would that drain energy? It was faster in crysis 1. Enemies are less intelligent. the game is easier. need i go on? its a downgrade compared to the first. What people need to understand is it REMOVED features from the first game. Your paying more for less. The purpose of a sequel is to be better than its possixr in all aspects. This is the first time i've seen a sequel look worse than the first. Those are the issues. Not OMG NO DX11 IM GONNA CRY!!!!! its the fact that it has lower production value and the company cut corners and made claims they did not hold up to.

@ MayDay

Why ?

Just why?

But anyway... its a bad decision not to disconect the MP from the main game.

Why ?

To avoid texture hacks maybe? Like transparent textures or bright colored ones or whatever is giving an unfair advantage to someone.

pretty obvious move, of course crytek would make it identical to the console versions, its so the console versions will sell better and they can blame pc sales on piracy again

lol... How many times it has to be repeated THE GAME WILL GET HIGH RESOLUTION TEXTURES AND STUFF WAIT FOR IT... You asked for crysis 2 to release prematurely and there you have it. Its so premature that it doesn't have an anti cheat system (which will come later this week or smth) but itll be mature soon enough and ull all bask in its glory till then STFU with oh god its so crappy... consoles graphics it svck!(i totaly agree) But take a look minimum graphic settings are console graphics. Just take a look at the recent games they all have console graphics when u set everything to max but when u set it to low u have console graphics @ crysis 2... Doesn't that tell you something? Atleast it tells me that it'll have some killer graphics but till they arive stfu please and let people with real problems get in line.

In nature things don't tend to retrogress, like wise with everything out on the market 2 is supposed to be better than 1, in all aspects

I'm pretty sure Rocky 1 was better than Rocky 2, and Ghostbusters 1 - 2, Back to the Future 1 better than 2&3, Teenwolf (ROFL!)....Infact this applies to nearly all Movies doesn't it?
Hmm, What about music, isn't it well known that most artists debut albums are the best?

So your statement appears to be totally incorrect?

You lot should step back and listen to yourselves "We are PC Gaming Elitists and we expect this and we expect that, We just won't settle for the same resolution grass as those pitiful console gamers, We KNOW Crysis 2 should look 50x better and we want it now!" Honestly, you just sound like total dikes and should really get a life, a girlfriend or something ffs!

Anyone who finds Crysis 2 looks THAT bad is spending far too long anolysing the walls/bins/floors when you should just be gaming.

And here's a news flash: Anyone that thinks Doomlord (who fumbled his way through changing a few configs that never made Crysis 1 look better, just made it run on lower spec PC's) is going to give you some super duper HD texture pack that will ever be anything better than Crytek will give, well, you need to wake the **** up!

Don't blame Crytek because you decided to spend thousands on triple SLI setups when we are living in the times of console domination. No matter how **** that fact is.

Sony didn't come out with the PS1 having PS2 Graphics and then PS2 coming out with PS1 graphics. The graphics advanced with each generation. Agaiin as with everything, things advance, not retrogress.

Actually, Einhander, a game that came out towards the end of the Playstation had better graphics than games coming out at the same time on the PS2.

@ Jethr0Paladin

Thats simply impossible the playstation 1 didnt support any kind of hardware accelerated grfx.

The Psone didnt support any kind of texture filter, so all the textures looked pixaleted as hell.

For example ridge racer (always Playstation launch titles)

on PS1: http://www.romulation.net/files/screenshots/roms/PSX/21698/s_3.jpg

and PS2: http://www.spieleradar.de/uploads/screenshots/23/ridge-racer-5-ps2-2v7_resized_1020_wm.jpg

As for Cryteks so called Patch promises:

Lets take a look back to Cryteks Crysis 1 and warhead support.
How much patches have they released for Crysis 1 ? exactly 2 patches! How many bugs are left? Let me guess..hundreds!
Dont get me started about Cryteks "Wars" patch politics!

So according to what Cryteks patch promises and game support was worth in the past (and that was for a single platform!!!) i assume its getting worse and not better as all you naive little optimists think.

Actually, the textures don't usually bother me. It's just that sometimes I'm stuck against a wall for a while and I notice it's really blocky, and completely flat. Things being completely flat is annoying sometimes, but not really.

What I miss the most is actually the physics from C1. Destructible environments are so much fun, but in C2 So much stuff is just fixed in place. Destructible environments are something that are definitely noticeable no matter what resolution you're playing on, and they're something that CE3 flaunted in its demos that simply isn't present. In C1 when I shot a try bark shattered and eventually the tree crashed down. In this game when I shoot a tree flat bullet holes appear next to it, stationary, while the try continues to sway back and forth.

@ TheRundown

Unfortunatly a physics and particlemod could only appear if the Sandbox 3 editor (which should be released this summer) is able to edit the Crysis 2 contend. If that isnt so... maybe the leaked Sandbox editor could do the work. But that would mean to use pirated software for modding.

Thinl about WHY movie sequels are usually worse, and you'll know why your comparison fails.

Nope. you're making the statement - You tell me.

I know this is a pretty easy thing to do, and the OP did explain it well, but I want to make sure I'm doing this correctly, is there a more specific tutorial available?
