Looking for a certain Wrye Mash...

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 11:57 pm

Hey guys, I am looking for a Wrye Mash that actually works. The standalone versions have failed miserably after being plagued by bugs. I need to update my World Map on my saves and the standalone versions haven't worked. The Wrye Mash I am looking for is the one that was on TESNexus but they took it off for unknown reasons. I need the one that requires the installation of python 2.5 and the python ANSI 2.8.0.1...That seems to be the only Wrye Mash that I remember worked. So if anyone has a copy of the installation package or something, just send it right on over. Thanks!

TESNexus split off into Morrowind and Oblivion Nexus, which is why stuff got taken off. http://morrowind.nexusmods.com/mods/27588 should be what you're looking for.

Gosh. Didn't realise that had gone from Nexus. I can't find another download link for .84

Have you tried http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1331996-yacobys-wrye-mash-fork/? If that doesn't work I can dig out my Mash archive from round these parts

For what it is worth, I've recently updated my map in a test done for another thread with Yacoby's version, and it worked just fine. You just might need to revisit the cells for the visual changes to take effect, but I think I've had to do this with Wrye's version as well.

YES! RaveBlack thanks so much for that. Google kept throwing me in Oblivion Nexus. Thanks! Also thanks to everyone else who helped as well!

EDIT: Wait, I am still haing issues. Here's the bug dump

I followed Wrye Musings guide if one or both programs weren't in the same directory. I don't know what this is, but it's pretty much the same error I've been getting all day with the standalone versions.

Yeah and here is my http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1068986-wrye-mash-thread-5/page__view__findpost__p__20960129 links for Wrye Mash.

@Scozzar: I strongly suggest that you get rid of Python 2.5 asap, because it's obsolete by now and I know Wrye Mash can work with newer Python versions. Dragon provide a good alternative and I'm using it with only minor issues of course.
