Looking For A Character Planner

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 6:45 am

I used one in Fallout 3 and it served me very well. But there doesn't seem to be a working one for FNV + DLCs. They have all been abandoned by their creators.

Does anyone know of a planner that is up to date (includes Lonesome Road)?

Did I try to do what?

Of course I googled and nothing turned up. Every single attempt to make a character planner that is out there failed :/

I'm still not entirely sure what a character planner is.

Oh, I thought that everybody knew ^^

It's a program or Excel spread sheet which allows you to fully plan what you're going to level how much and when and what perks you are going to choose.

Here's the one I use for Fallout 3 which works like a charm: http://www.fileserve.com/file/bBebFEP

And here are two of the many attempts for FNV: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35533, http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36628

It's a real shame their creators stopped working on them :(

Okay, I've never really felt the need for something like this. If I'm roleplaying I just imagine the character I'm playing and make decisions based on that.

I wish I could do that. I always need to know what my character will be like at the "end" of the game and since it's possible to max out all skills that's what I'll be going for. And that takes careful planning ;)

If there really are no good planners out there I'll do it on a piece of paper ^^

Vendy's is fine (the second one you posted). I use it and it works very well, especially for what you want (i.e., planning for where you will end up). I use it and update it each time I level up rather than filling everything in from the start.
