Just to add my two cents on the Hoarfrost Castle mod. I have been using this mod for a long time an never had an issue with my companion using the bed or chairs in the master bedroom. Up until recently I always used Kat from the HOD mod and when told to to sleep she always went right to bed. Of course she always went to whatever side she was closest to and there are 4 chairs in the room which she has used all for at one time or another.

I added my new mod http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37842 to this list.

This mod is actually extra companionfriendly and HEY FABLE, ARE YOU THERE??? it has space for 7 companions!

Excerpt from description:

Companionfriendly

The manor is fully path-gridded and has five persistent beds (one doublebed and four singlebeds). On top of that, there are two bedrolls that you can activate and de-activate. I.e. you can live here comfortably with up to seven companions.
In a small chest on a drawer in the attic you will find "companion keys". Put a key in your companion's inventory, and this will give the companion additional options. You will be able to tell the companion where to go in the house, or to take a walk outdoors, or swim in the underground pool, or to do some small tasks for you (like sweeping the floors, raking the garden or collecting ingredients).

...and now that I have been advertising my own work  ...
Maybe someone else also has more mods to add to the list?

What is everyone's preferred sleeping arrangement in Leyawiin? In most cities I simply take us to either the Fighters Guild Hall or more rarely the Mages Guild and find readily available free berths for two (or more). Not so in Leyawiin. There what I usually end up doing is first drop Vilja off in the Mages Guild basemant whose sole bed isn't contested, then head to the Fighters Guild where I grab whichever of the two ground-floor beds is empty. Occasionally both FG beds are taken so I must rent a bed at the Inn.

I even broke down and purchased a house from the Count. Only, it has one lone bed which Vilja (wisely?) wouldn't share. She could of course use her bedroll, but she can use that anywhere, negating the need for a special player-owned house. (I was not interested in acquiring property in Leyawiin except for Vilja's sake, so deleted those saves.)

The way we do it now (Mages for Vilja, Fighters for me) works fine. I've no complaints with the arrangement. I just wonder if I'm overlooking something. Is there anywhere in Leyawiin where Vilja and I can spend the night in the same location (for free) without her needing a bedroll?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To keep on subject, the small Manor House one can acquire in more recent versions of Arthmoor's Faregyl Village mod has two beds, either of which Vilja will happily use. (I believe its chairs are companion friendly too, but haven't spent enough time their to know for sure.)

I have added a few more houses to this list.

Note: On TESNexus, one can now tag-search for companionfriendly houses. So far, only a few modders have tagged their houses as companionfriendly, so I'll continue with this list for now. I will try to regularly add the houses listed as companionfriendly to this list (unless I have tested them and found that they don't have any sleeping accomodation for companions, in which case I don't feel they belong in the companionfriendly cathegory).
By suggesting Companionfriendly as a tag on your favorite houses for companions on Nexus, you can help to make this Nexus tag-search more useful.
