LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED MODDERS!

Post » Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:57 am

Hey everyone, with the new Skyrim Remastered coming out with console mods, I need help creating quality mods for the console, not just any mods though, im talking about dlc sized mods with an interesting plot

and world space. My goal is to revive Skyrim with these new dlc sized mods to make it like what it was like back when Bethesda still released Dlc for this.

given the file size limit on console mods, I don't think such mods would be very viable (isn't the limit 2GB?)

Second, take my advice and edit your post and remove that e-mail link, or people are likely going to set up quite a few spambots to flood that address.. your better off getting them to contact you via PM

third, NEVER use all caps in the thread title on a forum, it is considered rude and very disrespectful

and finally, you'll probabaly want to post more info on this mod you are planning.. because to alot of people (especially other modders) the whole "I have an idea and I need modders, contact me!" really sounds like someone wanting them to do all the work but take the main credit themselves..

I hope you realise that this is something that take years to make for people on their spare time whenever they feel like it. Huge mods isn't something you just whip up in an afternoon.

Is this thread about this thread http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1608892-the-3-mods-of-the-resurrection-project/?

That's true. A few people have come here over the years and say the same thing as you did, but what has come out of it I would say very little.

So, do you have a complete outline of your plan? Where is this set? In Skyrim, in another place on Tamriel, somewhere new entirely? Do you understand what is involved in making a new worldspace? Do you have a list of necessary characters and events? Do you know what sort of scripting you will need? Are you planning on incuding new Items/Weapons/Armor? Do you know how to work with meshes and textures? Do you understand the complexity involved with them even if you cannot do them yourself? Do you have quest frameworks? Do you understand the limitations of working with the XBox instead of a PC?

No one is going to want to help if you don't have decent answers to all of those questions. Far, far too many people have come along with OMG AMAZING ideas for a new DLC sized mod with all sorts of amazing things, and almost nothing has ever come of them. Calling for "Experienced Modders" to help you is, perhaps, the very worst way to go about doing something like this.
