Looking for Fallout friends! D:

Post » Mon May 04, 2009 5:17 pm

It's times like this I wish the fallout fanbase was bigger! :(

I have NO friends who like fallout. Now that New Vegas is out, WHICH I LOVEDDDD, I get antsy with no one to talk to about it.
I think overall I miss having mutual fanbase friends in general! :(

If anyone is interested in talking or being friends (or maybe even roleplaying :D) I'd love to get in touch. I'm a girl, 17 years old, so I have a lot of free time to roleplay and draw. (I love drawing my favourite NPCs and my own Couriers/Wanderers)

Is anyone at all interested?? I'd love to make some friends here! D:

PS: Maybe worth mentioning I guess :D My favourite NPCs: Boone, Arcade, Raul, Victor, Benny, Vulpes.

I agree with you, the fanbase should be bigger.

But I don't think this is the right thread to post this.

A mod can move it there.

Yes the Fan base should be bigger.

I drove my friends nuts for years after FO3 was cancelled. I kept talking about how great it would be if it came back and so many "what if?" scenarios. :fallout:

There are many places out there that dedicate themselves to Fallout fanatic status.
The pity is that FO is a CPPG, as such it crosses too many borders..
RPG's computer games, fantasy, sci fi, cross company developement.. a bunch here are old fans of the FO games.
Some are fans of the current FO modable engine, but the drop off rate of posters and users has been immense.
Look at the Skyrim forum atm, over here the numbers were as large if not more so before release.
Gamers are fickle.

Two of my friends play Fallout. They say they like COD better. Then I smack them over the head with All Roads. Seriously, when you're in you're twenties you're so ignorant.

I got like two friends who played FO3 and FONV, but one of them sold their copy cause it kept crashing on him and he got fed up, and the other one just doesnt play it often cause he's so wrapped up in trying to prestige in Black ops for the 4th time.

When you serve in the military and live in a foreign country (America would be this case..) it's not hard to see that.

Though.. sadly I'm in my twenties. :P

I showed FO3 to my best friend and he said "there's just too much stuff in this game." Couple of years back I would've made a fuss about it and spend hours explaining the game to him but nowadays I just don't bother. Some people like simple games. Whatever.

To OP:Hang out in the forums once in a while. There's good pvssyr here.

My problem isn't find people who play fallout it's what I call "fallout snobs" (this might offend somebody :poke: ) I actually find a few people who have played the first 2 games and are disgusted when they find out I've only played FO3 and NV :ermm: it's like...ok...sorry my computer is [censored].

That was a reaction rather than action. You see, when we get simplistic CoD geeks in a complex non-linear game, we get all kinds of childish arguments (like "I can't max all my stats this game svcks" etc...). Well for us veterans, it was enough to go "NOT IN MY FALLOUT!!!". Of course lots of decent gamers who got into the series with FO3 got caught in the crossfire.

I could be your friend, but I think our ideologies about Fallout would make us into rivals instead. :sadvaultboy:

Thank you haha! If Mr. New Vegas appeared in the game he'd be one of my favorite NPC's as well!

I wish I liked to roleplay more. That is, like some people do on forums. I can write a bit of a story but to me that's not the same as roleplaying if that makes sense. I wanted to be a writer once (like many others) but realized I couldn't quite turn my characters into unique people. They were always mostly.....me. lol

Hope you find some more NV friends...I know what you mean, I don't know anyone in real-life who's into NV or vid-games in general like I am. That's why I love forums like this. :D
