Looking for an flare mod

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 12:18 am

I have looked around and cannot find any mods that adds flares, is there such mod ?

I would like some flars i can ignite and throw on the floor to lighten up an area.
I feel it would become very handy cause some places are very dark and the pipboy, well its not so cool that way.

Would make the action alott cooler when you suddenly drop in a camp of raiders at night and you could drop a flare and boom, there you see a whole bunch of guys
and the bullets are flyed around your head.

If there isnt one, could it be hard to make ?
Since you could throw it like an grenade and it would start igniting when it hit the ground or something, preferable sticks so they look real and burn for a mihoker or more

FWE adds a throw-able flare, it does glow a bit but isnt really that useful because it does not lit up dark places and merchants does not sell the item.

Would http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9673 be suitable?

I remember it from last year. I've never used it as I have a mod to make the pipboy light brighter and cast light a bit further.

I also use the Pipboy Light Mod (3x, Gray)... but I'm definitely going to take a look at the glow stick mod too. (As I like using things like Xepha's Darker Nights and Realistic Interior Lighting.)

Well, Stormfront Studios Presents adds flare guns. They work quite well, and can be used as a weapon in a pinch. Does a whole lot more then add a flare gun, though.

I use fellout with RIL (realistic interior lighting). I'd prefer a throw-able flare myself. The road flares from years back look slightly different however. I know a lot of of crap from back in the 50's because my grand parents were hoarders and had their house full of relics. Its amazing how remembering that house of theirs makes me think of the stuff that either is pretty accurate after many years of decay. Or the way things simply would look if I added many of that junk inside their house. The fire extinguishers back then looked fairly close to the real ones. Just needs to have a better texture. But they really were copper with a hose etc...strange thoughts so late at night ^_^
