Looking for a good (read long) silent voice mod...

Post » Sun Nov 09, 2014 1:51 am

I cannot read quickly enough to keep up with the silent voice mods I have downloaded so far, including OBSE -Elys- Universal Silent Voice, so I'm looking for one where an ini can be modified to lengthen the time per line of text, or a way of stopping the scrolling from one text to the next, giving the player the ability to continue with a click, or even a mod that has longer hold time per line of text.

I know for some of you, reading this text should be a breeze. My problem is not that I cannot read fast because I haven't done any serious reading before cause I have. I went to Texas A&M U for double major Physics and Philosophy. Instead, my problem is due to neurological issues.

Here's hoping there is a mod that works for me and one of you know of it.

You could try using one of these http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/4591/ (10/20/30 seconds). Elys uses an 8-second mp3 called Elys_USV.mp3 - if you replace that with one of those, I'd expect it to do the trick. I'm not sure what happens with the lip sync though...

I was going to suggest TES4Gecko. Gecko has a function to produce silent voice files. The length of the MP3 is based on how many words the line of dialogue has. If you replace Gecko's MP3's with something longer, like the silent MP3's from that mod that tegeus linked, then you should have what you need. If you read the line faster than the MP3, then just click the left mouse button to skip on to the next line.

The thirty-second file in the place of Elys file works perfectly. Thanx. Really did not think this through, did I. LOL

BTW: Had to use the Elys OBSE silent voice due to running Morroblivion.

It is cool seeing Morrowind through the eyes of Oblivion. OCO character replacer skins made the jump from standard Oblivion to the mod.

Thanx again.
