I so far have a few basic things down for him. One thing I have decided is that he will carry only 3 weapons that he will be allowed to use. He will be allowed to carry loot, but his arsenal will only consist of 1 Rifle (preferably silenced) 1 silenced sidearm, and a Katana. I am thinking of having Christine's silenced sniper rifle, a light in shining darkness (Silenced thanks to WMX) or Lil' Devil (also Silenced thanks to WMX), and the Katana.
I have already made him and he is about ready to leave Goodsprings.
His special is:
S: 6
P: 6
E: 7
C: 1
I : 6
A: 6
L: 8
I took "Skilled" and "Built to Destroy" for traits
I tagged Guns, Survival (I play hardcoe mode), and speech (I use it a lot and it starts low)
Right now he has discovered how awesome the silenced .22LR pistol can be with a crit. oriented character. That thing takes out geckos faster than a 9mm. I did the math and with all my crit chance perks and gear , 10 luck, and the better criticals perk I could average higher dps than even the Weathered 10mm pistol (from Courier's Stash) when you account for criticals as well. I might end up using this little bugger until I get a .45 auto and then ALSID (I do HH sooner than later). I think I'll probably get my hands on ALSID before a 12.7mm pistol, and I would need a strength implant for it, and the old world blues spine perk to use Lil' Devil. I could use the weapons handling perk, but why waste a perk when I can boost my strength and not use a perk.
I am not sure what kind of theme or style this character will have and I am open to suggestions. All I know is that I like the Rifle, Sidearm, Katana combo and will play semi-sneaky as sneaking all the time is boring, but sneaking is fun when not overdone.
Also, don't tell me to use the AMR. The only thing I might ever use it for is deathclaws, and even then I might opt for christine's sniper rifle. two .308 rounds are lighter and less expensive than one .50 Cal. round and kill a death claw just as well with a double tap to the skull.
I also won't be using Cowboy weapons as it just doesn't feel right for this character. I know they are awesome and I have made cowboy builds before, but they are out for this one (Except in Dead Money because it's about survival).
I plan on taking "The Professional" perk as it boosts all pistol crit damage by 20% even outside of sneak contrary to what the description says. I also plan to forgo the "Educated" perk as I can get enough SP as is, but I will opt for the "Comprehension" perk as it lets me leave some skills topping out at 80 as I only need them higher on rare occasions which I use a magazine for.
I also plan to take the "Rapid Reload" and "Hand Loader" perk
I am going without the "Jury Rigging" perk as repair costs are not a big issue, and after dead money I have a crapload of repair kits.
Lastly, I am going without the "Them's Good Eatin' " perk as it ruins the game a bit for me.
So.............thoughts? Suggestions?
