Looking for a list of all clothing/body slots

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:26 pm

Does anyone have a list, or know where I can find one, of all of the slots that are available to use when designing clothing or armor? I know there are the equippable slots (shirt, pants, chest, helmet, etc.) but I also know there are the slots that those items use (chest, groin, upper arm, lower arm, etc.). What I am trying to find is the complete list, and also, if possible, which slots are available depending on the item being created. If that doesn't exist, I am hoping to make a table that does show all of that.

Any help is appreciated!! :)

You can see a complete list of body parts inside the CS. Just open the properties window of an clothing or armor, and open one of the drop-down boxes under Biped Object. You can assign either a body part model or an empty body part to any of those. (I'm not sure about weapon though, I've never tried what changing that does.)

I believe any body part can be assigned to any piece of clothing or armor. Rings, amulets, and belts ignore any body part settings, they won't change the wearer's appearance.

Skirts and robes are special in that they always disable (hide) certain body parts unless you specifically set them to replace those parts instead. Skirts hide the groin, the left upper leg, and right upper leg body parts. Robes hide the chest, the groin, both upper legs, both knees, and both upper arms, IIRC.

Thanks Adul. Yeah, I spent some time today doing just that and made a list. Now, I'm trying to work out what replaces what. Thanks for the info about skirts and robes. What I want to do, is figure out what parts conflict or cover what other parts (cuirass covering shirt for example) or the skirt with the groin as you explained. I know with mods, you can break those rules a bit, but I'd like to work out what the "standards" are first and maybe create a table that illustrates it. I have some mod ideas, but I keep running to unexpected issues.
