Looking for a little help with my Stealth Archer!

Post » Mon May 12, 2014 1:25 pm

I've just recently started playing skyrim in full detail, my first character was a Khajitt and she was focused on just stealth and one handed attacks.

I got tired of the same old thing and decided that I wanted to start over as a wood elf and try to focus on archery, and of course stealth. Being a new gamer, however, I'm not sure how to go about this.

Is there any tips? Helpful tidbits would be lovely :)

I have a few more questions but I'm not sure how many I can throw into this single thread. -.-"

Really if you focus primarily on sneak and archery everything will fall into place. There's a perk in sneak that allows you to do 3x the damage with a bow while sneaking. You will get a lot of one shot kills, which is exactly what you want as a sneak archer.

It's really no different than what you're doing now. Just replace what you would normally do with one handed with archery. This is my favorite build and I never get tired of it.

Well that's a lot simpler than I thought it would be. Thank you!

Sneak and shoot, if you follow Ralof you can spam this at the part with the bear until you run out of iron arrows..you can raise your sneak greater with a sword at this part.

archery and stealth go hand in hand and as mentioned fall together so nicely. And its a very deadly combo.

I love sneak on higher levels.

You pop an arrow in a Draugr Deathlord and you just move back into the shadows.

He knows you're there and sometimes come up face to face to you, but he can't find you. :)

Well, as long as you don't move.

Stealth archers can be a great way to clean out a dungeon. Once you get the extra damage perks , and I suggest take the zoom archery perk, you can clean a dungeon without anyone even knowing you're there. Seeing the enemies running round knowing you're there but not finding you is quite a buzz at times.

Very basic and you probably know this, but use light armor and look for items with muffle enchant.

Alchemy is very handy to know so you can make poisons for your arrows.

Stealth archer Wood Elf is my absolute favorite way to play!
